No Lynch, just in case.

If it scares people into posting, then yes.

If they end up lynched because they didn't post, oh well. Too bad for them. Maybe they should've tried posting.

EMERGENCY. POWER HAS REACHED CRITICAL LEVELS.
« Reply #125 on: January 19, 2012, 07:50:30 pm »

The lights flicker. The power dies... finally giving up from the damage across the ship. The sounds of the air filters go dead. Everyone looks to each other, then to the doors of the brig... and then the lights die away.

It is dark, quiet, and growing progressively cooler.

EMERGENCY POWER ACTIVATED. EMERGENCY POWER WILL LAST 4 MORE HOURS.
« Reply #126 on: January 19, 2012, 09:56:35 pm »

With a kick, the air turns back on. It stays cool, but gets no colder. Dimmer lights fill the room, making shadows deeper and darker. The emergency power kicking in - but it won't last forever. You can do nothing but hope rescue arrives in time.

And that nothing else goes wrong.

Orangebottle is currently in the Brig.

23 hours remain until day end.

Actually, that OB's quote didn't count since Toaster's post came before it. I decided not to risk, though.

MOD: could we PLEASE have a way to OOC-ly state something publicly, like asking about whether or not that quote counted? Also, congratulations with that flavor. Those random interjections coupled with post-based mechanic is the most original thing I've seen here in a while.

So, the alien is brigged, aaand... it doesn't look like there's anything else to do. No lynch.

Nope. You can PM me about stuff if you want. And generally it is poor form to post the contents of mod pms - its even more poor form to misrepresent them. If you wanted to post, you can post, but don't drag me into it.

Hm.
I have a slowkill, but it can't be used while OB's in the brig.
Hmm.

Someone jacked Web's recorder from me.

OrangeBottle sits in the brig, occasionally echoing someone outside.

Everyone else simply stared at each other, nervously. If Think0028 was telling the truth, what else could they do? They could not speak. The ship could not be repaired. At the very least, the autopilot had apparently sent out a distress call before it went down, but who knew how long it would take anyone to respond.

So they shuffled their feet, and they waited, exchanging desperate glances. Were they really doing the right thing, they thought to themselves?

The silence stretched on. It grew almost oppressive. The air seemed thicker, heavier.

Could it really be this easy? Could everyone just remain silent indefinitely?

5 and a half hours remain until day end.
