True. Pretty big coincidence though.

It's not like they've known about all of this for a deca-oh wait.

There's also the fact that they arrested all these guys who never went to the US for crimes supposedly comitted against the US.  Again.

Guess the UK should look into changing the terms of its extradition treaties.  Like, a lot.

Remember, hackers in anonymous =/< not all of anonymous.

...Yeah, don't listen to the news much, they don't know what they're talking about when it comes to the internet ;P

Anonymous doesn't really have much cohesion as a movement. People refer to it as an organization but it really isn't.

Anonymous is a collective protest group, not some shadowy elite hacker organisation :|

Many movements are referred to as fluid, but Anonymous is truly a gas, expanding into any available space. Attacks against it pass straight through, and it has an insidiousness that cannot be overcome.

[Barrett] Brown adds that “more is coming” and Anonymous-aligned hacktivists are pursuing a joint effort with others to “damage campaign raising abilities of remaining Democrats who support SOPA.”

Interesting that they added a specifically partisan bent to the message, when the original support breakdown was largely even by party.  Although certainly the rash of industry-protection Internet legislation over the last few years have mostly come of Democratic Senators, especially Reid, Leahy, and formerly Clinton and Dodd, although I believe PIPA was introduced by a Republican Representative.  I wonder how the Anonymous gestalt views Republicans (who aren't Ron Paul).

If the politics of the average voter are at all reflected in Anonymous, then they probably expect this kind of stuff from Republicans. It's Democrats who need to be reminded what their responsibilities are to citizens. Or put another way, it's possible to convince Dems their position was wrong. It's a waste of time and energy trying to convince Republicans of the same.

It seems that our knowledge about Anonymous is somewhat inconsistent and contradictory. Let's recap: What do we actually know about Anonymous, other than that they are great at hacking?
