I'm under the impression it's going to be available for £6.99 on Steam or $10 directly from the FTL site. I also read they're doing 10% off too :D

I'll go with whichever is cheapest as the FTL site gives a Steam key anyway

$9 on their site, which gives you a Steam key as mentioned. £5 or so. Not bad at all!

It's out now on their website (which gives a Steam key to register) or out on Steam tonight at 18:00 British time

Just got it off GOG. Time to go a'commandin' in the spaces. I just need to work on my Captain Kirk and I'm good to go.

I have the hardest time doing achievements. I guess these are ACTUAL achievements, not like

I love the mechanics of the game, even though it has a pause feature I can feel the stress during an engagement.

You're not just looking to the highest damage weapon, as max energy usage has a hard cap.

You'll have to maximize damage per energy point too.

Aptus -

You managed to get to sector 8 on normal difficulty on your first try? Wow, I'm really impressed.

I was actually having so much trouble with normal difficulty that I actually took the game back to easy difficulty, just to make sure that I wasn't going nuts. Turned out I wasn't, thankfully - my improved skills from normal play let me coast through easy for a big win (although not quite as flawless as my first win - without cloak I took quite a bit more damage,) but I still haven't gotten to sector 8 on normal.

Oh man, only 20 scrap and do I sell off one of two Burst Laser mk II for a Pike Beam to go with my Ion Blaster? .... Argh.
