Wait, I'm confused now. I thought Firaxis and 2K were part of the same thing, and he was referring to Mass Effect in response to someone talking about the Enemy Within DLC interview?

BTW, Enemy Within is not The Bureau.

I'm still betting they'll do a full language/accents DLC at some point. It'd make sense, not be all that expensive to do, and probably sell quite well. The only thing that really surprises me is that it, or a map pack, haven't shown up as DLC before EW was announced.

Still, happy to have at least some actual language options.

I have to wonder: in terms of unit roles, what's really the difference between a Mechtoid and a Sectopod? Seems both would be heavily armed and armored tank units, with Mechtoids just being psi-able. Maybe they're weaker but more mobile?

Possible. Either that, or they're packing more heat along with being a bit more delicate than a sectopod, which I find unlikely.

Also, if I understand correctly mechs will be able to punch them aliums for massive damage.

My personal guess is that they are going to be early "terror weapon" variants, probably melee similar to Reapers.
