Same reason as why the dorf doesn't have a beard and why the ingot doesn't get red hot, really. I might add it later, but don't expect me to draw more than 4-5 frames of it.

The first two were just doodles with brushes and no more, but the last one was the one where I edited and transformed parts of the painting which made it look a lot better than the two above (plus I got to do a chromatic aberration effect :>).

I like the first one the best. I've never much been a fan of the effect made by the brush spacing being too high. It just draws my gaze and forces me to stare at it, but it's subtle enough in the first picture that it's not jarring.

A sketch I'm working on, inspired by certain events in my own Mass Effect campaign.

Ignore the fact that the in-game Normandy memorial is actually much shorter and wider. Also ignore the slightly darker spot where for the life of me I couldn't draw Shepard holding an N7 helmet in her left hand.

Also, I just realized that I didn't fully erase a name I had written, so there's a minor spoiler in there too.

I would say it's because the anatomical dimensions of the head are askew. There are a couple of steps to fixing it. 1.) give the face some depth, humans kinda just assume the head is round so when the face is flat it creates a little cognitive dissonance. 2.) Draw your circles. The head looks like it's coming out of the hair and it makes it seem like a mask over the true head. 3.) lower the ears. There should be a line between the top of the eyes and where the ears meet the skull. It's not bad, the elements are just disconnected.
