Yeah, we used to have a pretty active Cataclysm: DDA thread which coordinated most of the stuffs before the game's forum got its groove. It later died after Toady hammered it due to a bad case of trollitis.

Yeah, I think I see what that means then. the neck is a little too thin, and becomes thinner quickly as it leaves the head. It looks better in Shook's art as it fits his stylization better.

So anyways i've joined an arting course and hopefully this will help me improve reasonably quickly. On top of that, i've joined the "sketch page per day" club, although it's going to be a while before my sketches get as delicious as Jopax's. :v

Well I've got some shite over on my deviantart, link should be under my avatar thingie. Most of my sketches are traditional and I don't tend to scan them as they are...pretty..bad.

It looks good, but I do think the swords-for-arms bioweapon look is a little overdone, especially after Dead Space and Prototype it seems like it pops up everywhere.

Can't help it, I love tendrils and tentacles and claws and big mouths with detachable jaws...and and

Samantha Underwood's weirdest Saturday ever sees her slip from the woods of Wisconsin into an ancient Sumerian giantslayer's enchanted home.  A few new friends and a dead enemy later, she limps home with widely expanded horizons, and has learned the first of many secrets: Not only are monsters real, mortals who defeat them absorb the powers of their kill.  And she now has the magic of the elves.

Her life keeps taking turns for the weirder, as she soon finds herself hosting the Eternal Sidekick in her apartment and receiving instruction from an Arabian queen and the son of a Norse god.  And she'll need every scrap of help she can get from them. 

Because she's stumbled into a mystical trap - one not set for her; one meant for someone with far more experience.  And if she's not careful, she might have eternity to pay for her mistakes.

Yes, that's supposed to be a pinup on the side of the ship near the name plaque (Lady of the Lake embracing the Excalibur sword). And yes, i maybe went overboard with how many emblems I covered it in; due it's shape and size, why not?

I made sure to fix a few design flaws from the previous one (the fore-engines, scaling of the decks, better details of other parts of the ship; weapon hardpoints added to the wings, larger under-wing hangars, and the catapult system nearby them.), and also added in the 7-dμ (rendering it independent from timespace; partially visible, and the selected visible part of said device (one of countless components) is what looks like the team logo, mostly for design reasons, rather than functional; given this thing is a traveling reality-warper, who gives a flying fuck? Implementation was sorta inspired by the final boss of Ikaruga.) in between the 4-dμ (allowing for it to teleport, and also not adversely affect the local areas by it's scale and power outputs, while also allowing inertial dampening for everything stored within, as it travels up to supersonic speeds; in which the psychotic crew aboard also barnstorms this behemoth while flying around. The device is dimensionally split in half, and mounted onto the craft; so it's actually 2 pieces of a single unit.), since it's predecessor lacked it. This thing is a bit larger than the previous version, by a couple more decks in height (Plus "Tavern at the Top"/War Room + booze has a better build to it now, and so does the upper cabin), 25 meters wider, and nearly 100 meters longer.

As much techno-babble and magicka-babble may be involved with this thing, in summary, it's a flying fortress of fun, which fully exploits non-euclidean physics and non-euclidean engineering; so there's far less mechanical design in this overall, rather than aesthetic design. In summary, I had fun designing this monstrosity of unrealistic entertainment. It's probably the most broken thing to encounter in the multi-verse.

Sure, a physics-defying ship can always be the boring flying saucer, but screw that shit. I want to travel with some style. Took me about 3 hours to draw.
