What I think of Nevyn's Fail-Application

So he posted an application that is
A. Too short
B. Is objectively awful in terms of the Mechanics section. (From what I've seen, that's what the major voters over on the N@W forums get most hung up over.)
C. Shows that he has a bad grasp of grammar and punctuation. (Capital letters! Good god, this guy is 25?!)
D. Shows that he is more interested in the war/pvp than the building and diplomacy that comes with it.
That's fine, no big deal. All of these problems can be rectified, except possibly the third one.

Then, when you respond and try to help him, he basically says
A. "I don't understand the damn mechanics, leave me alone"
B. "I don't care that there are capital letters missing, leave me alone"
C. "I'm not rewriting this shitty app, leave me alone"
Warning flag. This guy doesn't want to rethink his app.
That usually means that he thinks that the app is perfect as it is, which is sad and more than a touch delusional.

And then, when you reply back to that (The first+third parts of the second PM should have tipped you off), he just goes that
A. He didn't understand anything you told him.
B. He is a whiny baby that can't take criticism.
C. Would probably not have been a great addition to the server anyway.

It's for the best he took his ball and went home at that point. If you'd actually submitted that, then he'd get pummeled by no votes.
And possibly laughter.

If someone is unwilling to improve then they are more than likely not getting in. However, those who are willing to improve have been shown to do much much better.

Not being disrespectful if he actually is but he doesn't sound like it and the real if this one is or is not would probably be too busy to get on the DF forums.

He's even referenced on the N@W forums and in IRC that he's registered on the Bay12 forums, and has made his opinions about Bay12 (including what he's posted on this thread) in Joining Applications.

From what I've seen with referrals, normally the person being referred joins the referrer's nation.

Hmm. Lord of the craft, mcpvp are the main ones.

 Lord of the craft was a heavy role-playing server, and is the best out of all of minecraft servers, and also the biggest.
 It also has an application process like this one's, except theirs is determined by the admins.

Even within this group of high elite role players, I was recruited to be [Ascended]. This means the admins had noticed my exceptional role-playing, and given me a custom, angellike status. My main goal was to eliminate the opposite, the undead.
The reason I quit was because there was a lack of war, and politics. I needed something better. Something like: [Epic music] Nations at war.

As did everyone, I found it from youtube. I have been following the thrown gauntlet ever since, and am very up to date on all situations (Yes, including necropolicis' faulty move on declaring war on the world). It's got an amazing community, and I want to become a part of it.

I want to be a part of a server with mechanics such as this one, with nations, and diplomacy, and war.  But even more, is the desire to be a part of a group of extremely talented role-players and also diplomats. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not just a role-player. I'm an assistant builder, and a diplomat who likes to bring peace. You are the best community I've seen and it's just amazing to see such good sports.

Yes, Iconomy, and the war stuff.

Iconomy: Last time I checked, you get money for logging in, and for killing mobs. I think it was 75 crowns for a zombie and most of the others are also that or 85. Crowns may be used to make nations, buy resources from npcs, and also players.
Iconomy seems like something i'll grasp quickly, though I get the feeling that without npcs, it would be a very fragile economy.

The war system. From what I've read, it's not working very well at the moment, but really, it seems perfect to me. A perfect way to stop people's castles being completely destroyed in war, but the offenders also don't have to worry. I know that valuable blocks and chest content, however, will not be replaced.

/Sneak is on all servers, you type /sneak, and you can sneak at normal pace.

Yeah, I've used lots of mods, and I'm familiar with moving folders, opening the minecraft jar, and doing what needs to be done. I've read about the amazingness of the modders, and I'm excited to witness it first-hand.

A builder and a diplomat to aid my allies, and fend off my opponents. I've already said I intend to join the nation antares, and beat down necropolis, but that's not it. I'd want to not only be a part of this amazing community, but try to enhance it (if that's even possible) by building great buildings, and forging great alliances.

Yeah. So, I might not be a truly majestic builder, but my speciality is not design. My speciality is figuring how to make a design work.
e.g So, somebody wants to make a massive dog. I'm the one who figures how to make it actually look like one, not the one who comes up with the Idea. If somebody wants to make a Majestic city, I give them Ideas on where torches and glowstone should be postitioned. Get my gist? I'm kind of an assistant style character.

Also, we should make a Fourm for this, something that only the Mountain Home Pact and Pathfinders can join, but Pathfinders might be soon gone, Klienig is experssing that he is happy with the idea of Merging with Hammersong.
