You seem to be under the illusion that we give a shit about what happens to dwarves who are too dumb to live.

dumb dwarfs are still important if u need to mine. to me the only dwarfs i care about are minners. but ya if you got ten minners let them die.

i get what your saying but this works for minners. minners are alot more important then some random milker.

Out getting a drink?  Why would a dwarf be drinking outside?  The booze is all inside.

Then it's their problem. It's not my fault the migrants were traveling in front of a goblin army.

Also, if you're Miner's being scared away by the Goblins, how is he gonna do the mining? In addition, the Goblins are still gonna come after him, what's digging down gonna do?

If he's two levels below ground in a hole, the only enemies that can hit him are archers, and I'm not even sure about them.

If I were the goblins, I'd just fill the hole with water and place my shield over the top so he can't get out.

Fair enough, but that still requires that the Miner's not being scared away from the Gobbos.

It also requires that miners not be gods of combat.

I found this advice interesting. Thanks for sharing, OP.

(Although I question how the Miner will perform the dig without being scared off by the nearby ambushers.)

The thing that confuses me about dorfs is this. Dorf 1 dies in an avalance or somesuch. Dorf 2 is friends with dorf 3 and dorf 1. Dorf 2 berserks because of his friends death and kills dorf 3. also a friend. W. T. F.

The trick is to get him digging before the gobbos see him.

i.e. digging your miners the second you see the announcement screen.
