Dying in an entertaining way is basically 3/4 of the game.

The rest is setting up others (usually "friendlies") to die in an entertaining way.

What are these "friendlies" you speak of?

People who act friendly to cover their hostile intent, of course.

A more practical definition is "People who would be missed if you shot them in the face with witnesses about."

"Friendly" is the definition for someone who acts innocent and smiles at you while hacking nearby bots to kill you. Or while hacking your PDC to make it explode. Or while taping you planting evidence. Or while priming a demopack. Or while trying to figure out how to shove you off of a roof with four broken limbs.

To be fair, I was fairly friendly while playing in Rift's campaign. I usually gave some sort of warning after planting explosives large enough to level a building. And when I didn't, the fact that I was sprinting away was still a fairly effective warning. Everyone else, though...

Damned, dirty hackers. Remember this, if nothing else: If something explodes, it was probably me. If a bot, vehicle, PDC, or absolutely anything else hackable starts acting up, it was probably someone else on the team. And Scelly is probably always recording everything in the hopes of getting people executed or fined.  :P

Hey! Me hacking your PDC's was a learning experiance!, I must admit I did smugly sit back while the bots killed you.

Also dident I take someone's hand off When I made the PDC's explode ?

And I only messed with the car once :p

I know that hacking thing was aimed at me :P

Nope, it was aimed at everyone other than me. I think I was the only one who didn't hack everything in sight. Admittedly, that was mostly because I was busy blowing things up and doing secret missions. Though there was that one time where I talked the possessed crawler into running over Doronic. For the sake of one of my missions, of course.

Nope. I think the only thing Boris ever hacked was the autocar, and really, who didn't hack that autocar? Most of the time he actually wanted to complete the mission too.

Steph didn't. Mostly because of her abysmal hacking skill, but still. And yeah, Boris didn't do too much to disrupt the team, but I lay that down to Boris being the nominal team leader. Sort of like how one of my justifications for heavy use of explosives is that it was part of my duty as hygiene officer to thoroughly sanitize the operational area.

Yeah, team leader getting blamed for everyone's failures did definitely influence his actions. Plus most of his secret missions were fairly non-intrusive. "Plant a listening device", "give your squad-mate cyborg legs", "free the autocar from its Asimov circuits", etc.

Though I did get at least one "murder that asshole who keeps blowing things up" mission. I was pretty bad at completing those.

If someone 'helps' you by handing you a grenade to throw without it's pin, it is most likely me.
