On new features: please don't get too excited... there's a lot planned, but it takes me a long time to develop new things (especially big features). Mostly because I just don't get enough development time....
I'm sorry to hear that.. I think though, that even when I get tired of this game as it is now, I'll return later to check it out again. Kinda like with M&B. You'd enjoy it, play yourself full, and then return a few updates later and enjoy it again.
On grinding/lack of turns: if you play the game as a traditional RPG, it can be a bit boring, and you can burn through turns... if you make use of other aspects of the game, those are not such a big problem... one issue with the game is getting people out of the habit of playing it as a traditional RPG, since it can look like that on the surface.... new features will help this a bit, but like I say, it's going to take a while....
Edit: also, combat is only "clicking a button" if you want it to be... if you plan combat wisely, you'll be much more successful, and burn a lot less turns doing it.
You mean, at times, it's pressing two buttons?
I'm not sure I get the combat, though. I suppose it's mainly the heavy abstraction that I don't like.
I don't mind the limited turns very much, at least since I grew the habit of playing it at one time and letting the turns grow back rather than continually throughout the day (that was very aggravating
).
I also think I might not be of your main target group anyway. I'm not much of a multiplayer gamer to begin with, and I get a bit stressed out just by the thought of the competitive gameplay.
edit: got the wrong tags by mistake.
Also, I just reached party level 8! Now to steal towns from the rest of my dwarven compatriots!
Well, I almost did, anyway. Fortunately, I decided to check here first, just in case.
