Also, how many fruit gushers are left until we level up? Surely we can't be that far away now :P

Mikheal: Wake up?

Combat's over, do as you like.

>Mimi and co: just keep walking!

I think you mean boondollars. Unless there's a secret boondollar-fruit gusher exchange rate no one clued me into.

In all seriousness, I will do a count up later tonight. I do hope we will level soon, I need to empty out those cards from my hand.

You all continue north from the village. You'll probably want to avoid that place for a long, long time. As you march, you notice a factory that looks different from the others up ahead, but you can't determine what it is that's different at this range.

Closer by, there is a large hill covered with trees, and you can clearly see a gate just over it.

>Salamanders: Attempt to douse meteor flames.

The salamanders are kicking dirt into the fire, but it's slow going. Luckily, one of them has found a can of shaving cream! Surely the soothing lather will douse the flames in mere moments.

"a RoCket? ArE yoU goIng To flY tO ThE neXt gATe?"

"NO, JUST OVER THE RIVER. IT'S WAY TO HOT TO JUMP OVER, AND I DON'T SEE ANYWHERE TO CROSS. WE CAN GO OVER TWO AT A TIME. WHENEVER YOU GUYS ARE READY."

If anyone catches the reference I'd high-five them.

Eh, I thought it would be better if you narrated it.

I don't get it.

By the way, you aren't actually fording the river, are you? It's made of lava. Not even magic jackets will protect you from that.

Aside from saying that your eyes open and your everywhere hurts, what would I say?

Which reminds me, you need to take an extended rest before you're in top form again. You got seriously beat up.

If it's what I think it is, then we should find a native ferryman. I mean it's not like money is of much use, it's more like BULLETS YEAH

I don't get it.

It was a reference to the really old Oregon Trail game. Out of all the options when crossing a river fording the river was the worst. Fording the river was hilarious because your caravan might be carrying nothing but grandfather clocks, which means that they'd have to carry the clocks over their heads. :P

I grew up on floppy disk games in grade 1 since we had old Apple II's, so I wouldn't feel bad for not catching that obscure reference. It was the best game for the Apple II. You could die for the stupidest reasons. It was kind of like an early DF with less ASCI art I suppose.

People joke about it all the time. "I'll buy all the bullets $1,600 will get me."

I actually played a later version of that, I think. In school. I usually forded, because derp. I'd always start rolling in late winter, to make sure I didn't get nailed by an early winter in the coming year.

My favorite type of run is naming one member Teddy Roosevelt, then killing off or removing everyone else from the party. then killing all of the buffalo.

I vaguely remember playing Oregon Trail on some kind of Mac computers in elementary school. Back then, ANY game was fun. IIRC, I never got bored of that game, thought I wasn't avid about it or anything.
