Spoiler: Dual Prototyping? (click to show/hide)

>Climb to the next floor, but this time be stealthy about it.

Do we heal between battles? or will I be down 12 points at the start of the next fight?

EDIT: lol. No floor to go to. Hold on.

Yeah, you heal between encounters.

RL: Lucky Strike.

5+10-1=14.

Alex continues to aggrieve the Ogre, and hits for 12 damage.

You swing at the Ogre, and even though you don't get a full hit, you manage to graze him for 5 points of damage.

The Ogre strides forward and swings at you, hitting you for 14 points of damage. It looks a little woozy.

There is no need to ascend another floor. The spirograph gate stands before you. You could go back and look for something to throw into your sprite, but ther emight be more monsters when you get back here...

I'll find something once I get there. This isn't Metroid, I don't need to backtrack for an item.

Now that SS has probably built more floors (see earlier convo about the battle)...

>Mimi: Ascend further.

It's probably safe to say that the higher floors look exactly like the second floor.

RL: FINISH HIM

13+10-1=22.

AL's cursor follows after the Ogre, and attacks, but misses terribly. Dang it!

Danielle swings her mighty halberd once more hitting the Ogre for exactly 17 damage. Which is just enough to finish it off. Nice work.

AL's cursor winks out.

>AL: Ascend.

You guess you need to head for your gate now. You start climbing the stairs PA built for you.

>Continue on to the gate. Prototyping can wait.

I'll find something once I get there. This isn't Metroid, I don't need to backtrack for an item.

You step through the gate, and are immediately transported from top of your house.

You appear in front of a snow covered temple, from the looks of it. The only obvious path lies to your South. You can't tell where it leads right now though, as wherever it goes, it is too far, or the snow is obscuring your view more than you think.

Now that SS has probably built more floors (see earlier convo about the battle)...

>Mimi: Ascend further.

It's probably safe to say that the higher floors look exactly like the second floor.

You manage to make it all the way to the top floor, which has your first gate, all ready and raring to go.

Unfortunately, there are a whole bunch of baddies.

>Mimi: Roll for initiative.

12+initiative bonus. We do use a 2d10 for initiative, right? I had a sudden fit of unmemory.

>Mimi: Four spaces left, one up. Shoot the frog imp.

Holy heck natural twenty. Roll for brutal affront please.

>PA: Server Cursor Ready!

You join Alex for the trek up through his house. Soon enough, you reach the top level.

Oh dear god, this is complete bullshit.

Initiative.

Aaaaaa holy hell that's a lot of enemies. >SS: GET IN HERE

>Mimi: Roll for initiative.

Holy heck natural twenty. Roll for brutal affront please.

Initiative is as follows. SS's initiative modifier only reflected what it was at level 1. I need to update the character sheets. Might do that tonight, I promise nothing.

FireImp: 26
CardImp2: 24
FrogImp: 23
SS: 20
Mimi: 19
MeteorWolf sprite: 19
WolfImp: 19
Ogre Juggernaut: 18
CardImp1: 17
MeteorWolfImp: 16

Fire Imp and Card Imp 2 haven't seen you yet, and do nothing.

Frog Imp has, and comes at MeteorWolfsprite. Luckily, it apparently has no idea what it is doing.

SS' turn. And don't worry, you will get your shot at that brutal affront still.

>Mikheal: Inquire more info from the old Blue bird.

The old bird confesses he doesn't know terribly much about the state of things. They aren't exactly a border town, and, as such, they don't see much of the Red Menace. In fact, the bird hasn't seen one single member of the other nation since he was barely hatched.

He suggests that, perhaps, you might be able to learn more if you traveled to the Capitol. They'd have more to tell you.

He squints at you for a moment, then asks you where you're from. You don't look like a Prospitian. And from what he's been told, you don't look much like a Dersite neither. Just who are you?

RL: Enter.

You step through your Gate, and the landscape around you is replaced by a thick jungle. You are in the middle of the wilderness, all alone. Huge snakes, long as buses and thick around as car tires hang from trees.

A quick inspection of the area reveals a tiny, narrow animal path leading off to the west.

>Descend from the temple and head south.

You begin your trudge through the snowy path. About 15 minutes in, you see a small village in the distance.

Boy, and do you mean it when you say small. The shacks barely come up to your neck. There are about 6 of the shacks standing, but several more that look like they've been abandoned for some time. There don't seem to be any lights...

What do you do?
