So it have come to this... you have been captured by the armies of mighty Pome, and transported to the capital city. There, under the Arena Gloria, you have been trained to fight with those who share the cells with you. Your very fists, blades you wield and your spilled blood shall entertain the vast amount of spectrators, including the mighty Emperor Goreus!
First though... go and learn about the game, before you enter it. Because - only one leaves the game alive!
Every player picks a name (pseudo-Latin sounding are very nice ;p), two weapons and two abilities, and then fight against other on a sandy area.
4 Players, two pairs.
Each of weapons have a small array of 'actions'.
Actions cost % of Energy. Actions vary from simple attacks to special attacks that can lower opponent's energy, or deal Critical Wound.
Every player have 120 Hit Points, and almost every attack lowers HP by some amount.
Also, every player have 22 Coins to spend on equipment.
There's base Evade of 40%. An action called 'Evading' raises it by another 40%
At start, every player have 100% of Energy, and at end of every turn, 40 Energy is replenished.
Every game 'turn' consists of 3 players' actions sent to GM VIA PRIVATE MESSAGES.
At the start of every turn, GM tosses a coin to determine the player in 'offensive' - that player will perform actions before his opponent.
GM then does calculations, scribbles a short story and voila, game is progressing!
About Critical Wounds:
First Critical Wound lowers base Evade to 5%.
Second Critical Wound disables base and action Evade (shield still works, though) and disables all combat actions of the crippled player that have cost equal or higher than 25% of Energy.
Third Critical Wound kills the player.
The winner of his first match waits for the other pair to finish. Every turn of wait increases HP of the waiting gladiator by 1.
And just to make sure: YOU SEND YOUR 3 ACTIONS TO GM VIA PRIVATE MESSAGES! Do not post them in the thread!!! In real combat, you never know what your opponent might be up to, and I try to emulate this in-game as well :]
