During the Night of a Snowstorm, I had a rather striking Dream.
A Dream of Humanoid beings, of Snow. Twisted, and Bloated. With Antennae on their Heads.
I saw them Watching Us.
Thinking.
They Want Something from Us.
An Offering.
And a Swarm of Blood passed around Me.
And I felt Warm, and at Peace.
And then I Awoke.

4'Galena

The Adamantine Mining is going well. And Exploration to the NE is Progressing.
Not much else to Report.
Some other Work has been done about the Place, and some other Places touched up.

I am unsure of our Injuries, but we lost Three Men. Two of which were known to Me. I believe one or two of them were Former Overseers.
They will be mourned.
Even if Nix was haughty.

OOC: If any of the Dead want to suddenly spurt Blood out of their Mouths and come back as a Retiree, let Me know.

We now require a New Captain of the Guard, Militia Commander, and Book Keeper.
I have Temporarily Assigned Nomal Nishkin to be Book Keeper; Minkot somethingorother to be the Militia Commander; And Oddom something to be Captain of the Guard.

Will do - That actually works *Really* well for Me, too. I just added a New Section to the Engraving Room. I might Burrow the New Shade in there, and get Him to Engrave all the Walls. Im sure theyll have plenty to Recount.

Were nipping this in the bud. He cannot be allowed to penetrate a Vulnerable Entrace.
Therefore, every Soldier will be sent. We will try and lure him into an Antechamber, where He will be assulted from ALL SIDES.

If we start taking heavy losses, we fall back to the Entrance Tunnel.
Then the Stairs will be sealed from above.
I will personally try to get there before it kicks off.
But that Tunnel was an oversight on my part. Vulnerable.
A Bridge may not be enough if that thing made it upstairs.

Too much has happened on My Watch to Justify this.

Anyhow. Demesne is being Shut Down, for now.
Perhaps a Future Lord will want to Re-Open it, but its Work for Me is finished.
The Halls of History are being Expanded One Last Time, to be Engraved by the Future Lord, and the New Dining Hall is about 1/50th of the way done.
The Palatial Residence is at its Finest, and properly suits Me.

There are some Complaints of an Inaccessible Stockpile. Yet the Stockpile is just fine.
Frankly I stopped caring.

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea what the R is. Its Named though, and its been there since I dug out that Corridor.
I really never noticed it until after it was Dead - I figure I was busy dealing with Adamantine.

Also, if its Burrows or Closed Doors, it may very well be both. Perhaps not Magma Crabs. Yet ;)

Oh, I cant wait for the next Overseer to have a look around Demesne.

Who IS the next Overseer, anyway?

Well we've probably mined out all of the safe adamantite by now. No goblin siege is ever going to see the front door. All of the forgotten beasts that showed up during my turn failed at spreading syndromes. What's left that could kill us off? (other than fps death)

I vote for the master to start a tantrum spiral.
