>Ignore the rest of the stuff for now and search the room for a power source for our new friend the computer. Surely there must be something in here...
Indeed there is! A quick search of the room turns up a power outlet, compatible with the computer you brought with you. You plug it in and try booting it up... oh look, windows. Yeah, that might take a while.

>observe schematics
Most of them seem to be blueprints for the humanoid robot displayed on the screen. Others show a number of other robots, of varying design. One looks like a military design, essentially just a gun on wheels. Another appears to be some sort of spy-bot, a tiny flying machine with a massively complex sensor array. And another.... hey, it's you! And there's a large red x over the schematic... Says something about the project being scrapped.

>check for "paradox_ignore.exe" in your system
Nope. In fact, you only seem to have two executables stored at the moment. Adapt.exe, and a second too heavily corrupted to read. Well, unless &1f^g%.exe was SUPPOSED to be it's name.

> Run adapt.exe, passing [metal plates+drill] as the first parameter and the string "wings" as the second parameter.
Hmm... Seems adapt.exe only accepts one parameter at the moment, naming the target. On the other hand, it seems the program accepts almost anything as a target. Machines, programs, even yourself. Though that last option causes it to raise an error saying something about "Additional data required".

We will be a computer for a while because it's interesting.

Also: Transformers.

Mutie? My eldrtich fluffykins? He is a graceful and proud creature! That may or may not be the essence of every nightmare since the beginning of time and will cause you to go mad by being near it.

>adapt.exe [Computer]
You are now a computer.
...ok, not really. As you active the program, you again black out for a moment, regaining consciousness to find yourself equipped with what could be described as a backpack. A copy of all the computer's systems has attached itself to your back, giving you some extra storage space, as well at better multi-tasking by utilizing it's extra core.

>observe own schematics closer
Looks like you are a model called the "Omni-bot-01Z". You include some sort of self-optimizing system, combined with the ability to dynamically adapt to any new situation with ease. It doesn't say why the project was shut down though. And it looks like the design never actually went into production.

>Save a copy of all the schematics
You store a copy of everything easy enough. It all fits on the new drive you just created too, leaving most of your main hard disk free.

Doesn't seem to be anything else in here. Looks pretty abandoned really. Oh wait, the computer finally finished booting up. Might be something on there.

> Examine computer for any data or records
Well, that's disappointing. There's hardly any useful data on here at all. It's nothing but a bunch of research documents you can't understand and silly pictures of cats. There are a LOT of pictures of cats on this thing.

> adapt.exe(light source)
One very short blackout later, you have a light on your head, radiating from a small plastic dome atop your sensor array. Neat.

>Look for more doors
There are indeed more doors! Well. One more. Looks like it leads outside, though your sensors don't have the range to be sure.

You open the door and go outside.
...why is outside a giant ruin? You seem to have just emerged from some sort of bomb shelter. Into the blasted ruin of a city. That is... not normal, as far as you know. Looks like the shelter was part of some bigger building, but that's entirely gone now.
