"What I heard was roaring sand in my ear and a muddle of distant angry shouts, all suddenly happening at once.  It did not sound like a negotiation.  If it had been a battle and I had stayed my hand, that mage could have killed you all - I made a choice based on what I could see and hear, and I was wrong.  God help me, but there is nothing I can do now but pray for that poor man's soul and my own."

We should rest. If no incriminating evidence comes up, I rest without voting.

Same here, but Bring a wench and some booze to my quarters...if we don't have wenches just bring more booze.

Sir Kumspect:  ...Fine- I see no reason to doubt you.  But know that I will have my eye on you.  Heck of a throw, considering it was through a sandstorm...

In any case, we shouldn't rest until we hear what Sir Far was up to.

Sir Quarcaine stares grimly at the man attempting to find a wench and some booze and wanders off to his tent to inspect his hammer and to rest.

I assisted Sir Kumspecht, and succeeded, majorly, at doing so. I lost him from my view as he disappeared into the storm, however.

Interesting.

I... failed.  Critically so.

Would you say your failure was Major or Overly so?

"Overly so, why?"

[Also, out the rest of the day.  Don't expect a response.]

Good to know.

I believe one of you is lying.

I assisted Sir Kumspecht, and succeeded, majorly, at doing so. I lost him from my view as he disappeared into the storm, however.

"Overly so, why?"

Help: You work together with someone else, doing the same Skill Check they are doing to help them succeed:
   [Over-Success]: Target's result goes up 2 categories.
[Success]&[Major Success]: Target's result goes up 1 category.
[Failure]&[Major Failure]: Target's result is the same.
   [Over-Failure]: Target's result goes down 1 category.

Sir Kumspect says he over-failed.  Sir Far says he majorly succeeded at assisting him.  That assistance should have made it impossible for you to overly fail!

Either Sir Kumspect is lying about his action or Sir Far is lying about assisting him.  So, you two, which is it?

I have a hunch, but I'd like to hear what they have to say about this first.

I am fairly sure Sir Kumspecht is lying.
Unless he encountered some sort of hindrance, of course, but I doubt that.
