Don't forget about the island nations in the South Pacific. Those can easily be brought defeated and even if Australia is the one to take control of the target in question, you will still collect "tribute" from the vanquished state. You could up your military spending a bit more at the end of the year just enough for you to become a Great Power and leader of the Imperialist WTA.

The campaign of Latin America, nuclear exchange with France, and the America-German battles can all be considered part of the same global conflict. Technically, China and America could still be at war. The moment you see that China is no longer on the Soviet WTA and their attitude is "indifference" or below, invade them and conquer them quickly! Invading the USSR will be much harder now. You will have to max out deployments in all surrounding countries.
