I have completed and uploaded both scenarios for the Second Korean War:
http://filesmelt.com/dl/Korean_Conflict_Scenarios.7z The first scenario is set on June 1, 1990. While it is virtually identical to the original Shadow President scenario, it has been modified to include the Korean Conflict set to occur one in-game week after start. At that time, North Korea will invade South Korea. The player, as the United States, gets to decide whether or not to back South Korea. If the player chooses to stay neutral, a long drawn out war will devastate the Korean Peninsula, over a million people will die, and South Korea will fall. The player could even be sadistic and back North Korea...though expect very swift impeachment to occur. The best choice is for the American player to back its ally and help them fight off the invasion. It is highly ADVISABLE that the player restricts the fighting solely to the defense of South Korea and DOES NOT invade North Korea itself. The Soviet Union will defend North Korea and the conflict would upgrade to World War III. Surgical striking North Korea is also a bad idea--it could provoke the Soviets to launch a total nuclear strike on the United States. Sometimes South Korea might decide to counterattack by invading North Korea--you must not let them as that also would provoke Soviet military action and World War III. Go to the Crisis Room and issue a "US Protest". Since South Korea is on the United States WTA, they should easily back down.
The second scenario is set on June 1, 1993. The Soviet Union still exists and is still communist. Iraq had become capitalist via coup but has kept its territorial gains in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, & Jordan--plus the US helped them take Iran. Also I used the UGE to give Iraqi-Saudi Neutral Zone to Iraq. In regards to the Korean Conflict, this scenario is virtually like the other one. However in this version, North Korea had suffered a failed rebellion resulting in them temporarily leaving the Soviet Alliance. As a result, South Korea and United States can invade North Korea without risk of Soviet military intervention once the North Korean invasion has been defeated. In order to assure South Korea is the one to control the north, it is advised that the player uses less troops then South Korea in the invasion. Also it is best to invade before the end of 1993--after that, North Korea rejoins the Soviet Alliance. Oh, and don't surgical strike North Korea--unless you save first. Even though North Korea is not on the Soviet Alliance, they are still adjacent to the Soviet Union therefore the Russians won't take kindly to that. It is also possible Japan may also back South Korea since they too are on the United States Alliance.
By the way, it may be best the player stay in the War Room as it is possible popularity can fall--If you leave the War Room, press "0" to stop the timer. However in the 1993 Scenario, I found that by spamming troop deployments helps inch popularity up. That is kind of what helped me last throughout WW3 in my recent Let's Play. Basically what you do is go to a country, in this case the Iraqi-Saudi Neutral Zone. There you will already have 3,000 troops. You make sure the timer is stopped. You select "Adjust Troop Level in Country". But instead of changing anything, you just click "Do It" and keep spamming that. Occasionally the neutral zone might say no but Iraq or Saudi will offer to take your troops--accept their offer. Sadly this trick won't work in the 1990 Scenario as it don't affect popularity at all.
In both scenarios, North Korean manpower has been increased to make the scenarios more challenging and to make sure South Korea cannot hold out without US intervention.
