After reading this, I decided dl this game. Pretty fun except I'm kinda confused on the military invasion aspect. You go into the war room of the country you want to invade and add troops to region, then attack? Or do you go to the war rooms of countries bordering the one you want to invade and raise troops? Iraq somehow beat me and Turkey to shit.

You know those green buttons in the bottom right corner? One of those (I believe it's the second most right) is the budget button. You can view your projected popularity and do a lot more stuff in there.
