Found it. From the rules in the first YAK (which I'm going to import into the first post anyway):
Quote
Mines and other such affairs to either count as an improvement to towns (urban industry) or as one-off events.  In this case, setting up a mine to (say) search for ores or other geological resources would be a one-off event.  Success would garner you a cash bonus, resource revealing or both.  Failure might cost you.  Base difficulty for that task would be -2 (-1 for ducat bonus chance, -1 for searching for the first resource in a region).  If a region has no resources of note (like Eelspine), finding the first resource is at a -1 difficulty.  The difficulty increases by -2 for each successive resource to be found.
I'm not actually sure what this means, but its a rule about adding infrastructure, so it can be done.

You'd have to make a ruling for an improvement to make sense. Irrigation shouldn't need one - i would assume farming techniques around for thousands of years dont need special marks

Mines were intended to allow the 'harvest' of a discovered mineral deposit. Enabling it as a resource.

Who's in charge of deciding things like religion and all that?
Well, that depends on what aspect of religion. What did you want to know?

The main religion of Talama(?), so that I can get rolled for.

Well, for exemple... Let's say that I encourage some farmers (read: all of them, if possible) to make 'farmers guilds' (a dozen of farmers together, helping each others). That way, farmers will start working together a bit more, hopefully leading to less subsistance farming and more industrial farming. How much do you guys think it would cost, and would I earn more profits from these lands afterwards?

Talama is mainly Taloisistic, and you were already rolled for...

And shoot? I think that may count as a business, however I may be wrong so I'll let another GM decide on that.

You'd basically be trying to form an industrial business

4d/1 size costs
-Businesses confer Size in ducats er year profits + abilities
--Industrial businesses are used to produce goods at 4incs less than market base (costs are equal to base price of a lesser good, grains for beers, fruits for wine, cotton/silk for silk/cloth etc)

Close to all of the weyland PCs have either left or died. This is a sad state of affairs.

When I say 'Irrigation' I mean more organised irrigation; large waterways to divert water from a river, or even aqueducts; large projects which would make farms easier to run and more profitable. Obviously this would be abstracted as 'improvements', rather than having a specific mechanic for every possible improvement.
And with roads I meant smaller roads, between villages, of the sort that encourage trade and discourage banditry, on a local scale, not massive province-spanning things. Similarly to irrigation these would be abstracted as 'improvements'.

Anyway, not my department.
...
Oh, right, yes. Just run the things as businesses. That works.

Alright, I'm gonna check if I understood well (after reading the rules about them and listening to you guys - also, is'nt it 3d to expand the buisness size?)

-I create a wine buisness, size 1, at the cost of 3d.
-This wine buisness will give me 1d year
-This buisness will produce one "Wine" good per season
-This wine will be sold at four increments less than the base price at the end of every season.
^ That's where I'm not sure I understand. Wine's base price is 4d, and his increment is .75, so at what price is it going to be sold? (there is also a +3 luxury goods demand in the province, if that matters)

I was'nt really listening to all these merchant talks last game, since I was convinced I would never have to use them.

I hope those double 1's were real, and not just because someone didn't feel like writing anything about the castle. :P

Needs to be updated in the wiki to 4d/size (was costing us 12d for a trade guild, size 3), you're also using the old goods list. I linked the updated one.

Wine is a Tier 2 good now, costs 6, incs at .2 so you'd pay 5.2 for it (i dont believe demands were a factor in produced business goods). But a +3 luxury demand in the city means you'd be selling at a base of 6.6 +/- haggle rolls
