But still, you can't do anything to this town without giving it an advantage in combat, mainly becuase of the time it would take to muster,build a fleet, and gather enough food to last the time it would take to sail to the city, plus your people aren't natural sailors.

land is basically assumed to be peasants and farmland unless you're in an obvious mountainrange or something

I wonder... Would it be possible to upgrade lands?

For exemple, let's say I have only farmlands on my parcels, if I use a few denars to equip the farmers with better tools will they gain more profits (and pay more taxes)?

Commercial businesses that reach Size 4 can extend credit for up to 1 year. The maximum amount of credit they can extend is equal to the value of their business (i.e. 3 times the Size). Credit allows characters to spend more money than they physically have available. Any credit still outstanding after 1 year must automatically be paid back by the business - liquidating part of the business if necessary to meet the demands of their creditors.
