I really need a good zombie game.

Preferably a free zombie game, especially where you play as the zombie.
Games that I already know:
Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2
Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel Without a Pulse
Cataclysm
Rogue Survivor

Meh, the problem with Dead Frontier is that its really grindy. If your new and put your stat points into the wrong stats you pretty much have to create a new character, its fun at first but once you start leveling up it gets boring. Oh and the community isn't really noob friendly.

This might seem like a strange one but Zombie Panic:Source is a free mod on the source engine that I played through and quite enjoyed.

It's got it's problems like crappy graphics, some bad net code, cchoppy animations and over powered weapons. But I managed to enjoy it all the same. I prefer it to the Left 4 Dead versus since L4D seems to favour the humans too much.

It's not forced co-op like L4D and doesn't have any zombie classes. It does ahev decent balance between the humans and zombies.
Humans have to pick up all their weapons, picking up weapons and ammo will slow you down. Limited amount of ammo for weapons. Humans will have to stick around to survive. Zombies will either have to rush together to get a kill or ambush the humans.

So yeah you might want to check that out. I haven't played in a looong time so I don't know what it's currently state is or how many people play.

You don't get to be a zombie, but one of the best singleplayer Zombie games out there.

Urban Dead/Rebuild for browser-base zombie games.

Fort Zombie for a nice, if poorly optimized, 3rd person zombie apocalypse game.

Yea, that freaks a lot of people out. I actual edited it out; it looses its horror factor pretty quick when your remaking chars over and over, but it's still disturbing.

SCZ is working for me; unpacked it into a folder. Mayhaps you mean the exe is not working? It doesnt work on win7/vista; if ye want it to work, just follow these few steps and it'll run perfectly.

Have they improved Fort Zombie at all?  I remember I figured out how to turn back time so I can hit all my available objectives within a day, but then the AI frustrated me too much (they have trouble following you if fences and stuff are in the way).  Also the gun mechanics are RETARDED, zombie 3 feet away and you can't shoot him reliable with any gun if you don't have skill pts in it, but he can shoot you easily with his rifle.. OKAY THEN.

I also vaguely remember the devs on their forums banning anyone who criticizes their game, so that was a big turn off to that game for me as well.
