It didn't take long for Kin to resolve herself to find this girl. Even if it turned out to not be witch-related, it was the right thing to do. She finished her milkshake, threw the remains in the trash, and set out for the park the woman mentioned. Hopefully it wasn't too far away!

[4] Actually she did not mention the park, but you know which park she was thinking about. You raced there, and found a well-formed boundary. The poor girl was probably lured inside. You cannot peer inside the barrier. Do you want to enter it?

Kin touched the soul gem at her shoulder nervously. Other than Kyubey, this was her first real experience with something beyond the normal world, and it frightened her. There's a child on the other side of this barrier, though. I'm sure of it. And I'm sure she needs my help. If what Kyubey said about witches is true, then she must be suffering... Setting her shoulders with a decisive nod, she placed her palm against the barrier, then pressed forward, walking through it. I have to save her.

You braved yourself, and jumped into the barrier. It was very different from outside: blue sky and sunshine was what welcomed you; that said, everything else are in grotesque proportions, and you soon found yourself in a maze, made up from elements of a nursery and children's playground. Inside, you found a lot of children-sized figures running around, seemingly enjoying themselves. [2] You are almost shocked to see that they are appear so human and non-human at the same time, as you normally think that they are at most cute figures. To make it worse, you see a girl actually among the familiars, enjoying herself. That is probably the girl that you have been finding. What are you going to do?

She looked around in confusion. This wasn't... quite what she was expecting. Nevertheless, she chased after the girl. "Wait! I need to talk to you!" she said as she moved through the maze. I think I got the situation a little wrong. The witch must be feeding off the mother's suffering, not the girl's. I know my mom would be beside herself if she thought she would never see me again. But what would she do when she got the girl? She would have to convince her to come back to the real world with her. I wonder if that's possible. Maybe the only way to rescue her is to defeat the witch.

Kin took a quick look around before focusing on the girl again. I guess I'm going to find out. "Hey! Your mom's looking for you!" she called to the girl as she tried to push past the familiar and get to her.

As soon as she spoke these words, the sky suddenly turned black, and the familiars are quickly turning themselves into formation. More disturbingly, an eldritch abomination literally grew out of that girl. It is towering above you and is swinging an appendage - if that is called an appendage - at you. What are you going to do?

Kin shook her head. Things were worse than she thought! And now the witch had shown itself, or so she was thinking. She had to fight back! That's what the terms of the contract were, and she considered herself an honorable girl. She took her soul gem between her hands and focused on it. In a flash of golden light, her appearance morphed, her standard white blouse and black skirt becoming silver and gold, with multiple layers of cloth. Her walking stick appeared in one hand and a golden top hat in the other as the gem set itself in a brooch at her left shoulder.

"All right..." Kin said, putting the hat on and running a finger along the front of the brim while she lifted the cane in the other hand. I wish I was a Type O and not Type A, she thought worriedly as she took the cane into both hands and pulled it apart into a long whip. She was scared, but she was determined, and as the arm - or so she was going to think of it - came at her she attempted to dodge to the side and lash it.

Anna grimaced. Why is there nothing on the town's history? Gah. She decided to just walk around, maybe find somewhere to sit wand relax.

Disgusted with the lack of progress Leah threw up her hands and started storming down the various alleyways and streets, muttering under her breath the entire time. Well, if she couldn't find the slums she could at least find a decent place to sleep for the night. In the past she had slept in the gang houses, but in a strange new city she had no option but to find a hostel, or a park bench. Sleeping outside did not sound inviting at all.
Wait a second... She stopped walking and started looking around. That thing said that I was supposed to fight witches. What better way to prove myself to the gangs than to find a few missing orphans and use that as leverage? Forget trying to work my way into their graces first. After I'm done they'll practically beg me to stick around. Happy with her train of logic, Leah pulled out her soul gem and started a sweep of the city, looking for witches.
