Hmm, interesting. What did he know of the Benandanti witches? A matter to think about for another time, although an important one; he was certain the other pages of that journal had a more direct relevance to his situation. For now, he had a woman to see about... and a pocket to investigate. Since he didn't actually know where this Heretic was, he might as well start with the closer problem, and he turned his pockets out to see what the hell had gotten into them. Maybe he could identify it.

T.G.S.L.D

Tarran Smith

Tarran is unphased. His eyes motionless.

What is seconds seems like minutes, before Tarran drops on his knees.

"All I wanted was a vacation." He says, without even a bit of emotion in his voice.

"A few weeks... out of eight years..." His voice slowly breaks up.

"I sacrificed my life for all my patients... I've saved the unsavable... I've given children back their parents..."

"But... is this all I get for it?"

Tarran cries softly. Trying to keep face lest he embarrass himself in front of the others.

You're having a seriously bad day, losing a little of your self control perhaps isn't the worst thing that could happen in light of getting crushed by several tons of steel, glass, and concrete three days before you get a vacation.

Adrian Leroe

Seeing that the doctor is inconsolable (to him, atleast) Adrian looks around for anything aside from the other people in the street.

You're a hell of a lawyer, getting facts and even twisting them a little is your kind of talking, making somebody feel nice never really was your strongest suite. Still even as your rational conclusions fail to give comfort to the doctor you try to empathize with him. [Passion=Fail] Maybe you're in shock, maybe something got lost inside of you when you died, but for whatever reason you just can't seem to be able to feel much for doctor waterworks over there.

Nothing else to say you walk away a little, looking for anything to occupy your time until the universe starts making sense again. [Perception+Alertness=Great Success] Lying beside the sidewalk you find a chain of carefully braided metal, curious you bend down to grab it. The instant you fingers touch it the thing jerks away, drug down an alley by something unseen, you grab it and pull back. [Strength= Meager success Vs Strength= Fail] Something chokes in the alley as you stop the chain cold. "Please master don't hurt me, please. Didn't mean to run, wretch scared." The sounds from the alley are barely audible but definitely speech. Tugging gently you draw a collared man from the alley, his head is bowed and he seems... faded. Like someone put his entire body through the wash to many times. When he gets within ten feet of you he lies prostrate whispering how sorry he is over and over again, you would guess that he's getting ready for you to beat him for trying to run.

Well it seems you have a slave now. You aren't exactly sure what to do with it.

(Slave chain with 1 thrall on it added.)

Kaguro

Poke the glasses carefully "Any idea who those belong to?"

Kaguro sneered at the doctor. "And I thought I was pathetic, who wastes 8 years of their life helping people? It's not like you're going to get anything out of it, there is no heaven, no hell, and nothing comes of helping people while we're alive. That and half the time helping someone somehow leads to misery for yourself. Besides, you're dead, get over it."

You nudge the glasses with your foot and ask if anyone owns them, they ignore you. The doctor starts being emo and gets the sympathy of one of the others, well it sort of looks like sympathy. Doesn't exactly sound sympathetic though. You add your own sneer of disdain to the Doc's feelings, feeling a little better after bashing him a little. You're about to add another verbal punch when a body follows its glasses screaming to the ground. [Dex+Dodge=Meager success] You have a split second of warning before the man crashes into the pavement, enough to avoid being crushed, not enough to avoid being clipped by the suicide. (-1 Corpus Level) The body splatters, the pieces however start wriggling back together almost immediately.

You feel nauseous now.

Hikari Shizume

Spend 1 willpower to wake up, adn rip out of the shell I am in.

[Dex+Melee=Great Success] Snarling you reverse grip raijin and bring it up in cruel slash, the dream tears along with the caul folding away to reveal the world. To your left is the sky scraper you got blown out of, you note that it is not in fact missing a chunk of itself anymore. By force of habit as much as anything else you tactically assess your surroundings. Around you are three other people, immediately ahead is a crying man in a doctors coat, no threat there. Ahead and right is a man clutching his shoulder and standing beside the remains of what looks like a jumper, the remains do not appear to be happy being dead, possible threat. Farther ahead and separate from the rest is another man in italian suit, he's holding a chain connected to a man in rags, Slaver, highest threat. If anyone from the buildings on either side wants to kill you then you're a sitting duck for snipers in either position. The street is surprisingly bare, no traffic that you can see.  The sun is shining poorly, and the colors are all off, it is possible that you've been drugged somehow.

Beware of falling people: Investigate the Jumper
Sweat of the Soul: Investigate the Thrall

Tarran keeps crying a little before shaking violently, sniffling and saying; "I'm going to need a lot of beer. A gallon or so... At least, since I'm dead, I can't overdose, right?"

Tarran looks around and notices a body splattered on the ground.

"...Wha..."

Tarran walks over to investigate the man.

Hikari looked at the slaver man, and brought up his sword pointing it at the man, and asking "Who are you, adn why does that man have a chain around his neck?"

Assuming I'm now being referred to as a slaver...

"Me?" He turns to the man with a sword. "I'm a Dead Lawyer, via bullet in my torso area. As for this poor creature.. I don't know. I saw the chain, I picked it up, and out he came. To be honest, I'd be quite uncomfortable right now if I didn't know how to handle odd situations..." Adrian tilted his head, and crouched down in front of the chained man. "Stop pointing that thing at me. It's rude." He looked curiously at the slave for a few moments. "I take it you have no more answers than I do about this place?" He adressed the swordsman again, before looking back to the slave. "Let's ask this man. He might have an answer... Oi, you. I'd like you to answer some questions for me. First thing is first; Do you have a name? It's troublesome calling you 'Oi, You' all the time."

"Well, i think we fourthree should stick together, i wonder what happened to that other guy." Stick with the other two while paying attention to the surroundings, the people, thier activities, etc. Also write down my previous bosses name (the 1 who killed me) into my black book if i can find a pen

"For now I will trust you, but if you take one wrong step I will kill you on the spot understood?" said Hikari as he also asked the slave what was going on.

Adrian laughed quietly for a moment. "I think someone beat you too it, my dear fellow. I wonder if we can even die again?" He smirked slightly at Akira. "Don't worry, I'm trustworthy. I'm a lawyer, yes, but I'm still trustworthy. Don't get your knickers in a knot just because I have a man in chains - whose origin I know nothing of, mind you - who may or may not be able to help us."

" If it cna be killed once it cna be killed again for nothing is immortal. Everything will eventually rot, adn fade away, and no one will ever know it was there. That is the rule of the human world of which I believe we are still at list partially of. " said Akira as he kneeled in front of the slave.
