i'll go get some bones from the site where i found the resource cache, and will spend the evening making them into fishing hooks using the knife. if i still have some time after that, i will take off my shirt and unweave(?) it into threads to use as a fishing line

I'll throw my book into the tinder pile, and then find something I can use as a bucket (i.e. coconut, short log, turtle, etc.).

You're going to get some horrible sunburn without a shirt. Don't go doing that until there's no other choice.

I'll see about finding a vine you can peel the bark off to get a servicable twine from. I read a book in which this happened once.

Watch out for the several types of vine that will give you a very nasty rash. And the spiders. And... Well... Pretty much everything except for some of the sheep. Oh, wait, that's Australia (or an Australia-analogue)

Go to sleep in the shelter.

If I rest now, I can keep the fire alive later. And stuff.

Oh yeah, about that important foodstuff; if you finish the fishing tools, I can take them and go fishing in the morning and give us a nice lunch.

Also I just realised that skeleton is totally a dead laser-wielding Russian guy. I'm on to you, Max!

Yes, because laser wielding Russians carry KA-BAR knives and no lasers. :P

sunburn? in this weather? hah! i'm guessing i'll have plenty of time to worry about my shirtlessness before the weather becomes that hot, right now i'm just hungry. I can make some cordage from fibrous plants, but nothing fancy enough to be usable as fishing thread, so my shirt wil have to do.
Speaking of cordage, you guys can recognize a stinging nettle?...

to whoever stays to listen i explain how to extract and twist the fibers of stinging nettles into usable cordage, while i twist my shirt's threads into a stronger thread.

I'm going to attempt to make a sling out of a length of vine. If successful, I'm going to place it by the rock pile. Whatever time I have left, success or failure, I'm going to assist the nettle party.

Crikey. Next you'll be warning me about the Drop-Bears.

If my Vine-hunting goes poorly, I'll join in Nettle twisting.

Well, It's no Vine, but I think this beats ripping up clothing.

I look at the Berries Darvi found, see if they resemble any I've seen before. After That, sleep.
