Don't mind me. I'm just collecting actions. Rolls coming. Sorry about that. Didn't realize you were waiting on me.
Scriver: Rest.
Unfortunately, there is no food to munch on for now, so you do your best to fall asleep with an empty stomach and the baying of wolves in the distance. -0.3 Hunger.
Darvi: Look for food (3).
You head north, into denser forest, to find food. It takes a little bit of wandering, but you eventually come across a small patch of dark purple and black berries. The bushes look as if they have been worked over recently, but after digging through the brambles on the bushes for an hour, you still find enough to fill a small basket. You decide to use your jacket to carry them. In the mud near the bushes, you spot triangular footprints with five toes and claw marks. It is almost a foot long, and half as wide. After another hour or so of wandering, you find a hill to the north of camp with an almost impenetrable thicket of berry bushes. There are many birds' nests here, and you eventually get a large basket's worth of light pink berries. On the way back to camp, you spot some small, round hoof prints. You also manage to spot a couple of rabbits and foxes in the undergrowth on the forest floor, but have nothing to hunt them with. When you make your way back to camp, you put the berries near the lean-to (and the uneasily sleeping Scriver,) and put your jacket back on. It's getting too cold not to wear it.
Sonerohi: Make a sling (1). Assist with nettles (1!).
The vines are stiff, have long thorns on them, and are uncooperative. You spend most of the evening working on your sling (and pulling thorns out of your fingers.) After finally completing your sling, you attempt to help Askot with the nettles he's been talking about, but find out that he hasn't actually found any.
Choobakka: Look for something to use as a bucket (3).
You spend a couple of hours looking for something bucket-like, with no luck. You do, however, find a small log, and spend the rest of the evening shaping and hollowing it into a crude bucket. You even put notches for handles on the sides without punching through the interior. You are pleased with your handiwork as the sun sets.
Askot: Make Fishing lures from bones (21!). Unravel shirt into thread, make fishing line (7). Teach bushcraft class (1!).
You gather up the bones from the skeleton and bring them back to camp, and grab the knife. Sitting down quietly, you begin to work. Carefully, you construct 20 fishing lures that are spiny enough to double as hooks. After a few hours, you get up to stretch, and take your shirt off. You cut the sleeves off first, and begin to unravel them. It is a long, slow process, but you manage to get a bunch of thin, short strips that you weave into a crude fishing line, and thread it through one of the lures. You stand and wander camp a little bit to stretch your legs. It is starting to get very cold, and you decide to put the rest of your shirt back on. After a while, Sonerohi comes over to listen to you talk about nettles, but without seeing any he just doesn't seem to take in any information.
Something clicks in your mind this evening. You have a new Bushcraft Specialization, Bone Carving!
Burnt Pies: Hunt vines to make twine (13!).
You immediately set out east, into the forest to look for vines. After about an hour wandering through dense forest, you find no workable vines (they are all the stiff, thorny kind that you already had at camp,) you find a fallen tree. Some of the bark has been stripped away by ants, leaving a fibrous substance behind. In a flash of inspiration, you rip a large chunk of bark from the tree, stripping it down to bare wood. On the underside of the bark is a stringy, pliable material that happily works with you as you weave it into a few thin strands of line. They would be perfect to fish with. As you make your way back to camp, you have a chuckle thinking about drop-bears, when you suddenly hear the howling of wolves in the distance. Your feet pick up their pace at the unnerving sound, and you find your way back to camp before it gets dark.
You feel like you understand plants a little bit better now. You have a new Academic Specialization, Botany!
