moody dwarf is a d***

My moody dwarf just wants raw and cut gems and some logs. I have raw green glass cut green glas and all the logs in the world. What more does he want!? Why isnt he taking any of it!?

He might want clear glass...or a regular type of gem.  Either that or you don't have enough for the artifact.  Beyond that, no idea.

Does he want "raw... green..." or "rough... color"? If it's the latter he won't take raw green glass, he MUST have an actual rough gem. You would need to find and dig one out.

it was a fey mood. It turns out that raw green glass is not considered a gem.

Wow. And he made a crossbow. YAY!  8)

... Would adamantine artifact xbows really be any better than any other material artifact xbow? I'd think adamantine would actually be a terrible choice for xbows, since you want them nice and heavy in case your marksdwarves need to wield them like hammers.

Back in 40d, I manipulated a dwarf into making an elf leather harp (said leather was tanned from an elf skin retrieved from HFS).

At least adamantine crossbows are a nice status symbol. You know what sucks? Adamantine capes. Some dwarf wastes all this adamantine on an artifact only to reveal a tacky blue cape, presumably so he can run around pretending to be super dwarf.
