Landing the Harvester on the planet showed that it was a world with some nice green grass, and several of my crew had build a mini base camp already (wow they're fast
) , i went to the computer and was tasked to destroy the alien threat that was in a cave system.
And of course i was going alone for some reason despite all the crew that i had on planet already.
Fortunately i had taken, along my weaponry (i liked my Outlaw Shotgun) 3 defense turrets that have been always super helpful to deploy on dangerous planets during harvesting missions.
The caves were filled with some blocked path that i had to destroy with my weapons, but more threatening there were a lot of spider-like aliens, fortunately despite their number they couldn't stand up to my fire power supported by the 3 turrets.
Then i ran into the central area of the caves, a very big spider-like thing with glowing orbs around its body appeared and started attacking along another tons of mini spiders.
They destroyed my 3 support turrets while i was backpedalling like crazy shotgunning as much as i could the big ugly thing that seemed impervious to everything.
But that ugly thing finally went down after a ton of shotgunning its "face", so i could emerge from the cave victorious and surprisingly alive.
Went to the computer to initiate the Genesis project, calling back Earth so they could send their colony ships.
The game then told that centuries moved on while my people were building big dome cities to protect from the massive amount of insects there were, insects that were luminescent and provided light at nights.
Scientists decided to genetically engineer our species so they would have longer ears for some reason, and we could then survive centuries in technological "harmony" with nature.
Hmm, looks like that was the birth of the space elves
