There should be a few in your cave house.
Is it possible to pick up your house board and move/use it somewhere else?

I believe so. I'm rusty, but I'm 95% sure, since they sell them and I believe I've moved them before.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.
Quote from: Ze Spy
Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

I got rid of them ages ago because I didn't know they did anything and were cluttering up the place...

Yes. I used the one from starting cave to redesign my museum. Ranches and shops come with their registers, so they have no need for a house board.

You can once in a while find one in dungeons or general shops.

Note that items that prevent you from teleporting will also prevent you from using scrolls/wands of teleport/escape/return...

It'd be easier to find something to cure disease. That'd be hitting around 20 birds with one stone.

Edit: Sorry to double post , but is there anywhere I can find the music that plays during the arena? It's awesome.

All the game's music can be found in the game's folder somewhere, in the music folder. Alternatively, if you find a "disc (#)" item, you can change the background of any area of the game (like your house) to your liking by using it. However, the music attached to the disc is random, depending on the number, and the change is permanent.

Cure corruption potions can be obtained by winning in the casino using casino chips you dig up from material spots. Alternatively, marrying a pet (any pet), will give you a cure corruption potion as part of the wedding gift. Just get a whole bunch of "gift" items and engagement jewelry, spam give them to a random pet, and then marry him/her/it. If you choose a disposable spouse, pick an animal, so you get +2 karma instead of -15 if you sell him/her/it to the Ralph in Port Kapul's inn.

Since you have an internet connection, be sure to drop by the voting booth every now and then; there's one in every town. Regular voting increases your voter rank, which is pretty much free money per salary.

If you check the website you can download the MP3s of the music, although I wouldn't suggest replacing the ingame music with them because the game can adjust the pitch and tempo of the MIDI music.

By digging through the source, I can confirm that picks are useless for mining. Only your strength and your Mining skill are used.
Incidentally, if there are any other questions on stuff like this, feel free to ask. I may even drop it on the wiki at some point. :)

*Raises hand* I have one!

Yesterday I heard in-game a rumor that reading a scroll of oracle before opening a chest increases the chance of getting better loot.

Is there any truth to that?

Yes I know what oracle scrolls are for... but a NPC said reading one before you open a chest improves the chance of getting better loot.
