There's a sub-forum full of them, most translated into English, in the official forum.

Can someone remind me how to get food if you haven't got any money and can't find any fruit-trees?

I keep starving to death...

Look in wilderness tiles for Api nuts and the other food item who's name I can't remember but it looks like a leaf.

In Vernis, Palmia, or anywhere with a bakery, just walk up to the stick bread on the ground and eat it.
Or you could repeatedly enter and exit wilderness areas while taking any api nuts, edible wild plants, or herbs.

I don't have that problem, but then I eat people.

Yeah, pretty much. You can also do this with the veggies in Yowyn.

Oh that's fine.

Y'know what I hate? Kobolds. Level 2 dungeon, taking a stroll with the little girl, I enter a room. Bam, kobold. I turn to leave and a
spider/robot/whatever blocks the way and it kills us both.
This game is great, do golems need to eat?

Kobolds are early game glass cannons. Until you have a few levels under your belt (to get more HP and better PV from better equipment), don't stray too far away from the stairs. Once you spot a kobold, run.

Personally I'd advise not setting foot in any dungeon for your first couple hours of gameplay. It's safer to power up doing quests for platinum, which also happens to be worth a lot more in the long run than anything you'll find in a dungeon.

Hmm.

Are fuel cells the ammo for lazer guns?

Oh, and cats are evil the guy was all "Hey, cats have taken over my house" So I laughed, went downstairs then ran back
upstairs again. Brings back bad memories...

Oh, and y'know what else is annoying early-game? Hermit crabs. Using a class with only a starting-level sword, those things take FOREVER to kill.

Can things be placed in treasure chests by the way?

You mean energy cells? They work for all guns, bullets only work for "regular" guns though.

You can expect pretty much all non-quest-board quests to be like this.

Which is why you keep magic rods, attack spells bypass their high PV. Alternatively grenades blasts also bypass PV or get a shuriken and have them bleed to death.
Also, since they do so little damage, they're nice to train weapon skills on; as long as you don't starve or have more monsters come in.

No, Only three containers allow you to put AND take items. The fridge and cooler box - which are food only. And the 4D pocket, which is a spell you're probably not going to get for a very long time.

No, they are awesome because they take forever to kill. You don't want to kill them. You want to use them as training dummies. Equip your least damaging weapon, walk up to the thing and hold down an arrow key until either you or the crab is in danger of dying. Walk away and heal. Repeat.

Multiple points of weapon skill later, swap to a two handed weapon instead of a one handed weapon and repeat. Then do a couple hours of quests, turn in platinum for skill potential and look for more hermit crabs.

Welcome to Elona.
