I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

From what I seen, it seems easier to teach norns to kill grendels than to avoid them. You may also want them to eliminate ettins too - they aren't as hostile as grendels, but they are constantly dismantling useful machinery and taking things you want to use somewhere else.

To combat the grendel menace, we must breed a race of radioactive supernorns!

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

We have our first pregnancy. Fallow norn female x fallow norn male

Plus, after a grendel attack the male magma norn has gone a little berserk.

Update: The Fallow norn female laid 2 eggs instead of the normal one.

Double Update: Female fallow x male fallow again
seems a cough is running rampant.

Second Death: Female Fallow Norn (Beaten to death by a grendel on the bridge)
Is this the same norn that's getting pregnant all the time? Cuz I'm a bit confused if it is.

And a young fallow is pregnant. The father is! HER DAD (EW)

Sadly, the female cave norn hit old age and is now sterile.

Update: The harley and the young fallow norn made an egg.

I'm going to stop with the mini updates.

Does inbreeding cause genetic defects like in real life?
