No, I know Targoss AKA free leather and meat, I thought they had some prototype "missions" made after that. Fly a rocket, etc.

Unfortunately I have a pernamently stranded character and it has been SOOO long since I played.

So I'd have to make a new character with essentially nothing and no help.

That's... impossible, unless you can't log in on that character at all. You can just use the leave empire button (in the Government dialog, F12 if I remember), join another empire, and spawn recall to a planet in that empire.

It's not like starting over is all that difficult, though. It's just boring.

I always come about to see if the Lag issues of Hazeron are finally fixed or not.
I barely have time to play any game nowadays, but I'd love to try and help some B12 empire like the old days, when I'm able.

I'll check the game out soon to see what changed :D

What's changed is mostly that it's gotten worse (gameplay, bugs) and that most of the older players have quit by now.

Even worse? :(
Haven't Haxus started to use a server grid or something? The lag still persists?

He decided what the game really needed, instead of working AI or more manageable cities or balancing or functional reasons for player interactions, was an intracate and buggy currency system, for some reason.

However, now a player just has to visit an inhabited planet in the sector. And the player can be an ally or vassal. The planet then tells all the others in the sector.

I like the part of being eagle-ish, majestic. But i'm okay with whatever. I could always join your empire as another creature, can't remmber race values though... Think it's the dominant (First) race of the empire that designates which it is.

Something other than the sawn-off default hoomins we used last time. Flying or jumping is good. A bug, a bird, or a dragon? Something even more exotic? Any natural weapons? Armour?

Aparently warp drives work now. 8 second warm-up 50-second burst or something like that. Speed is 10c per warp factor (integers 1-9 inclusive).
The AI navigators use the estimite of warp-factor = number of parsecs to target I think, as that puts you one minute away, leaving around 10 seconds decelleration time from c if thats how it works.

Give me the empire name/password and I'd be happy to sign up and hunt some pirates!

Yeah, probably useless as rifles make better ranged weapons. We can spend the points on speed or something.
