Shadow's Coming

You are a band of people from the small village of Alura, and today you will start your journey.  Recent years have seen the rise of monstors from nightmares and myths, and the world is stuck in a constant struggle against the dark cloud slowly spreading from the western sea.  You are determined to fight and root-out this evil, or simply benefit from the riches your enemies must surely have, and today you leave your small town.
Basically this is an RTD who's difficulty will not only increase as you progress, but also over time, so I'd say that alot of training isn't reccommended.  Also if you have something about dieing, this isn't for you, I will not warp dice rolls to save you.

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

Name: Dwonak
Race: Goblin

Biography: Dwonak is but a humble fishergoblin of 22 years from the village, and is well liked there-for a Goblin, anyway. He's always been sort of an adventurer, like his immigrant parents who left the Goblin fortress to live in peace among Humans long ago. He's already searched every little cave and dell near his hometown, and longs for more excitment. He's adept at spear and rod fishing, as well as fighting in medium weight armors, though the worst he's faced so far is a pair of angry woodchucks.

His ultimate goal is to catch something large enough to rival his fathers 100 pd King Collosal Carp...

Former Profession before being an adventurer: Fishergoblin

Major Skill: Spear Use
Minor Skill: Fishing
Minor Skill: Medium Armor user
Minor Skill: Shield Use
Heirloom Item: Masterwork Glumprong Fishing Pole

For the past three years he has yearned to prove his worth in battle. It is now his 20th birthday.

Well, I would have liked a Gnome player too. His character is also fairly unique for our group.

Are you SURE we can't let Choobakka in the game Kilaken-him and no more? We'd have nearly all the races/classes represented. And he seems new...give the new guy a chance!

Ok so just a few quick rules:
magic-You can cast anything you could think of within your class, though power will modify the effect along with your skill.  You can also attempt to memorize a spell that you see cast in your class, or one you cast, which will allow further castings to cost less mana, have set effects and be easier.

Melee-Good rolls and training will give you feats which can be used to increase effectiveness, at the cost of energy.

Ranged works the same way as melee, though we don't have anything other then throwers, your feats are a bit more limited.

Both memorized spells and melee feats can gain levels after repeated uses, making them more powerful without increasing difficult.  These levels combined with special circumstances are what can increase skill levels.

Re: Shadow's Coming RTD10 Turn 1:Leaving Day
« Reply #11 on: April 17, 2011, 11:44:20 am »

Turn 1
Either in sadness, or just plain not caring, the townfolk have decided to not give you any kind of leaving party.
You six are gathered at the road that is leaving town, all of you are packed and ready.  You don't know what managed to get such an odd group together, but none the less you have all decided to atleast start today together.  It is about 7:00 AM, and the weather is very nice, though a bit cold.  There is only one road leaving town, and none of you know where it may lead.  Shame about being in such a small town.

*Each turn not in combat is about a half hour, combat is "freeze time" travel time is instant unless you are stopped by bandits or a special event.  Your status will be saved on the first post, but health, energy and mana will be displayed below during times when it is changed, or in combat.
