While it loses points on empathy, that was masterfully animated.  It forces empathy to an extent, very artistically.

Uh, I... I think this is a good video about humanity's overall struggle...

"Test of Time" is a reference to my second favorite entry in the series, aheh.  Alpha Centauri, technically not in the series, is by far best.

Uh really though this seems like a literally epic description.... of at least the European, NA colonist side of history.  Mainly Europe, even late.

Oh jeez. Here comes the third album in what is apparently the Mouth Trilogy: http://neilcic.com/mouthmoods/

The whole series is... a strange and wonderful aural experience, brought to us by eclectic musician and meme magnate Niel Cicierega. Nice tunes, witty usage and pairings of source material, and... yeah, just really good weird shit.

First Album: http://www.neilcic.com/mouthsilence/
Second Album: http://www.neilcic.com/mouthsounds/

EDIT: Still on my first listen. The cute and cheerful "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" + "Popcorn" pairing is surely some kind of eldritch magic.

I never used to care for Helloween, but I'm starting to feel that they've really grown on me. Maybe as I get older I can appreciate more natural, less clean-cut and produced music in general. I think I even like the original Phantoms of Death a lot more than the cover, which I heard first.

I know there's a metal thread but couldn't find it in several pages, and I don't want to derail whatever modern discussion's happening there with a band from the 80's. :P
