Ecnalubma is a pretty cool TMBG song. I'm listening to them a lot. Some more of my favorite TMBG songs are: Nanobots, I'll Be Haunting You, Birdhouse in Your Soul, Black Ops (faster-paced alt), Unpronounceable, Trouble Awful Devil Evil, Ana Ng, Older, We Want A Rock, I Love You for Psychological Reasons, Sold My Mind to the Kremlin, Tesla, Sleep, 9 Secret Steps, Stuff Is Way, Too Tall Girl, and Doctor Worm.

Today is a drab grey, rainy winter day (first in over a month too), it's what you'd call extremly moody and even depressing if you were the kind of person that didn't like these kinds of days. I personally love them, doubly so when you can find an appropriate music to go with them. In the Mood for Love by Shigeru Umebayashi is just that kind of music.

Speaking of Lindsey Stirling, I quite like this one.

To be fair, I'm not sure how much of that is appreciation of the music :P

In terms of music, I find myself enjoying orchestra, by far, the most. Video game music, just as well. This is why I find myself great fans of this, this, and this.

KFC has chicken and corn.
My friends say I'm obsessed with corn.  Maybe from bicycling through so many cornfields.
Kentucky aside, it kinda feels like a particularly self-aggrandizing North Carolina state anthem to me.  Or just ode to my middle-childhood.
A dark, petty existence I feel overwhelming pride about.

Helps that it was linked from a friend, fellow NC-ian.
Oh also the epilogue, lol, welcome to NC.  You get used to that.

Haven't clicked, wild guess: is it the video of a guy playing that "chicken in the corn" song on a guitar with one string?
That's a classic, that is. :)

Anyway, some music:
Fast
slow
fast
slow.

Of course, there is some blurring between "fast" and "slow", since none of those albums really stick to the one speed.
Also, those are all full albums, sorry, I usually listen to whole albums at a time. If you'd prefer I could try to pick out my favourite song from each, but that'd be rather challenging. Well, except for the first one- 'Sleep Paralysis' is a bloody amazing track.

Nah it's just a weird mid-South, local thing.  North Carolina, best Carolina.
Also a nostalgia hit.  Bike tours across the state.  Sleeping in gyms, usually, preferably.  Otherwise pitching tents and waking up cold and gagging on my spit, having to break the tents down at dawn.

Uh, because it was NC, and a gym.  The gyms were easier.
I'm sorry, that's just what it means to me.

But also good things.  Corn (and chicken).  So many corn fields.  More tobacco fields, but the corn felt better even then.
We rode so far, for fun.
I-It built character.

Okay enough drunken intimation, I'll sum up my feelings with a VERY FUCKING ACCURATE SONG.  Considering I was an edgy teen, forced to ride for SOMETIMES 6-7 HOURS, mostly before I even had an mp3 player with dad's techno.

Tears for Fears - Shout (Disturbed cover)

I love this song, and I appreciate Disturbed's take on it. I think they do covers well - preserving what made the original good, but also bringing their own style to it.

Lost And Found by Zack Hemsey

Dude kicks it out of the park once again, a brilliant blend of instrumentals and some punchy rap vocals makes for a good listen.

Freakin' Mongolians bringing out the good shit as always.

Also, despite some questionable turns of phrase ("сгусток веры всех людей"?) this is surprisingly authentic, especially for something written by somebody for whom Russian wasn't a first language. Maybe I should go watch this movie or something.

Another cover in a different style. Dunno how you feel about the whole synthwave thing, but personally I love it.

I think they're called Hanggai. They're another one of those Inner Mongolian bands, which is why their name's in hanzi. Glad you like them, by the way.

Oh you like dirty Mongorian band?

Have some more dirty Mongorian folk then. Tho Mamer is decidedly more folky and traditional, still, damn good stuff.
