Really though, more music I haven't heard of that captures the trippy prog feel of Tool is good.

I think it sounds a bit too toolish. The cover art even looks like a rejected sketch for Lateralus.

Also le huh the former drummer from Opeth's part of that band. I really got into the proggy Opeth albums lately (Damnation, Heritage and Pale Communion; IMO PC ~= Damnation > Heritage, but only slightly; Folklore from Heritage is pure jazzy-ish ossum, but some songs are less good).

BTW MASSIVE props to whoever linked Windowpane in this very thread two-ish years ago; I don't really care much for their more traditionally metal stuff, but Akerfeldt's aesthetic sense is pitch-perfect for me once you strip it down to its essence, and if not for that single link I might've never found it.
