I went through the first playthrough thinking "I'm totaly go through this again and completely abuse my crazy spying power." And then it turns out that's what I'm suppose to all along. That spoiled the idea.

Ok, since I started this and I never got a chance to check back untill it had grown by six pages and gone back to the second page of OG (for me at least), I wanted to get in with a comment about the game.

I was sorta thinking "meh, I agree on the privacy thing, but the depiction of no need for privacy future was a little overdone.... also 26 years isn't long enough for that kind of thing to happen.

I did pick up on a message at the end, with everything that rook is freaking out about turns out to not be a big deal, sort of left me with the message of "don't take this shit too seriously". Which I think is a fun thing to say in a game about high school drama.

I think it took me about 2 hours, skipping nothing. I'm not quite sure, though, as I'm very bad at tracking time. It has a saving system.

Took me two or so hours. Was really engaging. For me at least. Just finished it. Mind blown. Typing tiny sentences.

If I play this game hoping for a story about teenage love with apparently a few scary and mature themes thrown in will I end up shocked and traumatized by the content?

It took me about 4 or 3 hours. Mainly because I was also playing Portal and L4D2 while browsing the forums, too.

Now that I have recomposed myself I would like to point out that this is also awesome.
It also mentions certain characters that play roles in Don't Take It Personally.
And I assume it's in the same universe. Just... 1988.

I played and finished this yesterday. My only issue with it is the ending, really. I really dislike the way people are saying that privacy is an outdated concept when really it's the concept of identity that's shifting. People (in England, at least) are just as private as they ever were, it's just that they are capable of revealing a different part of their identity on the internet without being face to face with another person.

Being British, I can agree to the above.

We're extremely private and like having control over our lives, at least where I live anyway (south). Apparently its even more prominent up north.

Still, I should have taken the message more seriously. Not an hour after finishing the game did I post on my wall about a girl (who I didn't mention by name) who'd manage to cut herself and was bleeding out and decided the best person to call for help was me, the bloke who lived a 3 hour train ride away.

She found out and is pissed off. Ah well, its lucky I don't care.
