8 Months Later:
I call this next meeting to order, the ship has returned with starteling news. First of all there are an amazeing 3 planets found within the 'life ring' of Alpha Centauri where makeing colonies will be much easier. Secondly, deep space probes from the ship where launched and discovered somethign else, apparently several Neutron Stars with large and powerful gravitational fields have been discovered in the area surrounding our systems, this will make leaveing this area( and entering it) difficult, this is likely why we have had no contact with other species. The CoS is excluded from this meeting due to their prior conduct, will all guards leave the room?

No confirmed life. All three worlds are rocky, only one has a large amount of atmosphere, as near as our probes can tell all three have useful resources for humanity and colonization should be easy.
