Perhaps the 'teams' could each have their own universe where they are in complete control, and then a central arena of sorts, with each GM controlling a part of it? Inventories and skills could be balanced by TK when players cross over, and GMs could each control the arena-zones of a second GM. There wouldn't then be a real need to ensure that the GMs play by subjective fairness.

when the GMs loose in the arena they are vulnerable to being attacked in their universe? ME LIKE!

With multiple GM's, we can handle more players than the usual 6 or so.

So err, what happens if a GM doesn't post? They can't be put on AI like players, so would the universal GM's do their turns for them?

It's bound to happen sooner or later if we're seriously taking in 8 GM's.

the universal GMs would indeed do rolls for their players.

Not sure yet. I think these guys are fine with a variation of the initial rules (hell there were almost no rules in the beginning  ).
