Can I please ask?

Why would the Humans enslave a creature that are weak and cannot do much physical labour? And Humans don't go around enslaving people for no reason. There has to be sense for why they would want to enslave them, otherwise they would just enslave themselves! (Which has happened. Don't forget that)

In fact, if they did need or want them in anyway, a logical being would just leave them alone. Humans, in RL and in fiction, only enslaved beings for free labour they could not afford themselves. Otherwise, they'd just hire people.

Also, why would a race that is, ahem, three feet tall be so strong and good at farming!?!?! Also, how can they be good at farming? In real life, it is near impossible to farm under ground, because a vital need for plants to grow is SUNLIGHT!

God. I am really temped to write my back story as starting in farland.

I am pretty sure I can paint the gnomes as the bad guys and stay within adwarfs story.

Don't forget the low tech level in this game John.

I haven't finished the fluff, and they enslaved them for their mastery at mechanics, and steelworking ( They had to pay dwarves for their metalworking, but gnomes are free. )

The metalworking I doubt, hunting is a no, And the machanics haven't been invented yet (And couldn't have been magically propelled wagons either).

Farming is believable though.

Edit2: I also notice some... similarity in my naming and slave treatment.

Hunting a no, but mechanics, and metalworking yes, because this was long agi. I will explain everthing in the fluff. The also have some ability in magic, but only around 2 out of 100 gnomes have any true magic abilities.

Considering their lack of access to any sort of metals in the surrounding areas say otherwise.

Also, this is still a long time ago. Mechanics aren't invented, like adwarf said.

I think I may also invent flying machines before he dose simply to spite him.

I mean yeah, you are both ex slave races, and yeah he added hunting for some stupid reason and that is your thing.
