But the buffalo are well known for there dislike of meat, and we are at war with the griffons usualy!
Besides, avian meat is well known for being leaner that a nice piece of red meat could ever be! Without a high fat content, how could the unicorns become plump in time for harvest?

Ah, but the better part of a pegusi's upper portion of its body is dedicated to working its wings. Look at how much room all those muscles must take up in its body: not a ounce of fat on them!

That is out of the question, however. A pegusi's wing is as much attached to its owner as any other limb. There muscle system is entirly based on both the movement of the legs and wings. It would be like severing half of a pully system. Not only will it cause issues with the survival of the pegusi, the muscles are to ingraned into the system to truly atrophy without the death of the pegusi.

 Looking at some of the descriptions of perytons makes me think I should upgrade deer and make a civ for them. What I'll probably do is make them fairly basic and have the civ randomly pick from deer, antelope, goats, and so on, so we can have a neat little trading civ as an extra, though I'll have to do some entity fiddling to solve the current world gen problems. Then when I make the various hippogriff creatures I can make basic "X with the Y of a Z" with entries for every Y and Z, and just go through them all making the pony, deer, griffon, buffalo and whatever else versions with fitting, vague or made up names for each. Might try using animal variations, those are always fun to debug.

 I'll probably try to just get the deer/goat/antelope civ working, fix up the pets, do some entity tweaking and some bugfixing for a soonish release, though, since the current issues regarding banana ents are a bit embarrassing and megabeasts will take a while to get just right.

 I've never been that fond of butchering sentients. Material values are usually low and they tend to have low stack sizes.

Cool. Would they have the currant four-caste system we have currantly, or will they just be individual creatures? Because I would think the ever-lovely Kirin would make a exelent unicorn-deer.

It's not even in the main mod (exept the Diomedans, but they're evil). It's just those other sick people who are not right in the head (like me) altering the files further.

I'd probably make them just talking deer since they're going to be pretty inconsequential and I really want to devote more time to the megabeasts, sweets and cocktails over the next couple of months, but feel free to make your own add-on to spice them up.
