I am GMT -8, so I should be home around 2am GMT or so?

I'll help how ever I can and Sedais can haul.

We have decided to do it on the Saturday instead due to more members being available and less time constrictions :)

Sorry I missed it. The originally scheduled time wasn't the easiest to accommodate. My usual playtime is pretty much on the opposite side of the clock.

I note, however, that only two people are required for this. One in a shuttle and one in an industrial. Two people during middle-of-the-week off-hours is a viable alternative to the proposed Saturday reschedule. I'm not certain that any average 3-4 of of would be sufficient to break a gatecamp. Going in unseen would be preferable.

..I don't think someone is going to be cutting about in a dread just to pop some random PoS's to much money to be just messing about in.

Someone would drop a cap on the tower just for shits and giggles.

Well the system I have it planned for is a dead system anyway so I hope and pray :P

Battleship tiercide review:

http://themittani.com/features/battleship-tiericide-review

Discuss.

I'm a little sad to see the Abby get a resist nerf, but overall it will likely not effect me much, she still has a very tough tank to crack, even solo.

Overall the Amarr changes seem fair and in line with what I'd expect, given what I know CCP are trying to achieve. The Gallente changes, on the other hand, are a bit worrying. The Dominix changes seem good, and in line with the ship's role, but overall the changes to the Mega and Hyperion seem a bit rough and not especially well thought out really... which makes me think there's more stuff in the pipeline that would shine light on these changes in a different way.

As I have very little knowledge of either Mini or Caldari ships, I don't really have an opinion on them.

Pretty good read overall :)

Discuss.

1) Whatever they change, something will probably end up being best. So long as one is sufficiently skilled in terms of skillpoints and is not overly attached to a particular hull, it wil ljust be a matter of googling fits and buying the one you want. Though granted it might be annoying for those who trained battleship from 4 to 5 for particular race.

2) STOP MAKING AMARR SHIPS DRONE BOATS WE DON'T LIKE IT.

3) I didn't like the Armageddon anyway.

4) I liked the Abaddon. I have battleship 5. I have more like 85-90k effective hp, not the 220 they're talking about. Sounds like this is an incursion nerf. I've never done an incursion, but I was under the impression that the abaddon wasn't terribly popular in incursions anyway.

5) Rokh nerf? What? Uhh...ok. Not that I fly it anyway. I'll just continue not flying it. *shrug*

6) Raven...what? Nobody uses torpedos and we don't care that it will be easier to fit them. An effective hp and the loss of a utility slot of all things...all I can guess is that they want to slow down people running L4 missions in ravens. Not that I did anyway, but I don't understand why exactly they feel the need to make things that are popular just a nuisance to fly.

7) I don't fly Gallente. No comment there.

8) Again with a utility slot nerf. I don't get it. Seems difficult to reconcile their slim that they're trying to balance battleships with the apparently reality they're choosing to make some merely more time consuming to loot with, or make us swap ships more to scan. I don't understand why increasing nuisance value and downtime is a desirable goal.

9) I was considering training Minmatar for incursions anyway.

10) CCP: people will fly what's best. If you really succeed at "evening" and "balancing" everything, all that means is that people won't need to cross train racial shipskills because there's no benefit to it. It would make a lot more sense to me if you make a clear "best by 10%" for each shipclass and spread out those best ships across races. If you want the best T1 frigate, fly Amarr. If you want the best T1 cruiser, fly Caldari, if you want the best...etc. If everything of every race is just as good as the same stuff of every other race, then we can all just stick to one race and cut out massive amounts of training time from our queue. I'm not sure that's a good move.

11) Not entirely sure how to take advantage of the market changes. Will probably just stay out and do other things.

12) *shrug* T3 *shrug*

PoS is online needs more fuel

Saturday already?

Can someone in game mail me (Thrawn) the system name? Also, for the first time ever (and I have a release day character) I have broken 1 billion isk. I am a few million isk away from buying and fitting my NightMare.

If anyone is interested, I will sell my Maelstrom to anyone from Bay12 "cheap". I don't want to take a huge hit on it, but I'll eat some of the cost to help get you into Incursions. I don't have the fit here, but email me in game and I will send it over.

I took advantage of the lack of people on the server and the system with the PoS was nice and clean for the whole set up, so defenses are online now just need to bring in the rest.

Ok so, my thoughts.

Amarr, no worth while thoughts.

Caldari, what the flying fuck. They nerfed the rokh? God dammit. Also, the raven was buffed, with an added slot, but the loss of a high. More reason to get a Raven.

Minnie, not many thoughts.

Gallente, ok so the Dominix is going to be controversial. I am happy about the proposed change, but others are fuming. It'll be a way better sentry boat now though. The mega with the slot switch should be more useful for incursions now, but the Hyperion dropping a mid? That just means I wont be using it for incursions now, unless I drop my prop mod.

2) STOP MAKING AMARR SHIPS DRONE BOATS WE DON'T LIKE IT.

Same. I was sad when I came back to find my Prophecy had turned into a drone boat. Oh well.

Honestly, the nerf to the Abaddon doesn't seem too bad. Obviously I don't see anywhere near that level of EHP but overall I feel fine with it.

I continue to be glad I never trained into Gallente, other than the fact that I wish I had a Mach.

I've done my best (with short notice) to ensure the PoS settings are reasonable. However the issues I've pointed out still DESPERATELY need to be addressed. Specifically, the placement of the defences, their small number is problem enough but with the current set up, if someone were to approach the PoS from a particular angle, then only 1 gun would be able to fire on them.

I will try to make time to be on later, message me on Steam when you're active on there Scriptwolf and if I'm about I'll jump on to help with further setup.

As a final note, I didn't have much time but I've gone through my list of contacts and ensured that a corp contact has been made with good standing, for everyone that I know of from B12, whether they're in MagmaForge or not. The PoS guns have been set to fire upon anyone with less than good standing with the corp, so if you're not in MagmaForge but intend to visit the PoS, check your standings with the corp first. If they're not set at good or above, please drop the corp an eve-mail or leave a message here and someone who has permissions will set you up :)
