If the port ends up being good and you like slower paced aRPGs, I don't see any problem with it.

Not only does all that sound really great, but you can actually pause apparently!  Sold, I was so disappointed when I couldn't play Dark Souls for that reason.

It opens up like it's going to be a linear experience (and I don't know why they did this), but once you hit the main city about an hour or so in it opens right up and offers you a variety of jobs and main quests to take out at your leisure, or you can just go exploring.

Sounds like almost every adventure game tutorial ever.

I too am intrigued, but I don't do pre-orders , particularly from very large companies that *don't* need the advance revenue to complete a game. The existence of an MMO Dragon's Dogma that hasn't yet made it out of Japan is of some concern, as is the fact this is a re-release of a game only 3 years old.

Nevertheless, I have put it on a price watching waitlist.

This is a pc release and less of a re-release.

Insurgency is up on Steam for <$3.00. If you like more tactical-minded shooters, it's a great pickup. Think CoD if it were designed as a mixture of CounterStrike and ArmA.

I had no interest at all until my brother pointed out that it's largely PvE.  There's PvP too, up to the player.
I'm still not especially interested, combat looks too twitchy (like the games FD mentioned).  But my brother's loving the PvE.
