DS3 is just a crappy ARPG even if it didn't completely fail the franchise, but 1 and 2 are worth 5 bucks.

Once you get going, especially in 2, it's basically all over the top overkill superdakka. It's the ARPG I compare all others too in terms of sheer mob density and absolute overkill power level.

It looks like if you pay $125 or more you get the "Big Kahuna" bundle which includes 40 other games and another 12 or so soundtracks. Looks like there are a couple recent releases in it (SotS2, Impire, and probably some of the medieval combat games that I'm not familiar with), but I'm not sure how it compares value-wise to individual purchases.

I played DS1, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only downsides was the looooooong travel time, and if you can't find where you need to go (I had no idea how to get out of the swamps because I was playing the game in overhead mode looking for the way out...), then you're going to take a long time to get there.

I THOUGHT I had played DS 2, but it turns out I'm wrong, but I've heard pretty good things about it, and at least it's similar to the first. However, I did play DS 3... And ugh. That game was nothing like what I wanted. This sums up exactly how I feel about the games.

Anyone able to check what the price of "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist" is at for US. I am very much guess that its way overpriced for us Aussies as normal.
Its priced at 66.95USD for me...

I did like some of the available weapons. In one area you could get a minigun, flamethrower and grenade launcher (the grenades, along with a bomb spell, actually bounced off walls with simple physics). Though this brings to mind an issue I had with the game, and that all the items you collected in an area were only usable once you'd leveled and left the area you got them due to high stat requirements.

This is not remotely close to Steam but if you want to preorder Rome 2 and you are in England, then you can get it 44% off at GMG here: http://blog.playfire.com/2013/08/uk-offer-pre-purchase-select-console.html

$59.99 USD = $67.40 AUD

It's actually not overpriced at all, you're paying slightly less.

Both prices are in USD. According to Google, it's more like 75.22AUD

Steam Greenlight Sales going. Tons (ton=50 now) of indie games on sale for varying deals until September 2nd. Lots of cheap games.

Has anyone tried Rogue Legacy? It seems like it'd be neat to play, but I'm hesitant to shell out the $11 USD it's on sale for when I could get three or four other indie games for just as much.

Rogue Legacy is heavily skill based. You can buy things but the monsters also level up as you buy things. It turns into having the patience and skill to beat super meat boy.

The monsters don't level up as you buy things, this information is wrong. I got the game and played almost 50 hours of it, they don't scale.

EDIT: game is amazing. Really. I thoroughly recommend it.
