I think I'll get Hammerwatch as well

My suggestion is... don't. I got it because it was on discount and I heard some good things... But it is sort of a slogging game that likes to pretend it is "edge of your seat fun" but is really methodical.

It MIGHT though work better if you have friends... Yet I wouldn't gamble on it.

I will apologize for everyone who likes Hammerwatch, but frankly... It just seems like one of those games where it gets good reviews based on good first impressions and I want to at least convince people to think about this purchase instead of just buying straight away.

Also considering Inquistor, which looks an isometric ARPG with Baldur's Gate 1 era graphics and maybe a bit heavier (if standard) story.

It might be too late to warn you but be careful man, you move at a speed that makes your standard BG party look like Usain Bolt on crack. Which is to say, slower than snail molasses. Everything else is okay I think.

Antichamber's on sale for US$6.79, marked down from US$19.99.

I don't know if I'll buy at this price.  I may wait for the holiday sale.  I expect it will be the same price or lower then.

Strangely, it's not showing up in the list of specials.  Anyone know why?

My brother got Arma 3 in Beta, thinking it was like a 'Wide spread map COD, IT'S AWESOME!!!'.
Of course, being my brother an Imbecile with the big I, he didn't even manage to complete the Tutorial before deciding that 'the game sucked' and he had wasted money.
...
I'm glad I have Arma 3 on my brother's pc now.

Well, it kinda is. Its got the brown, the grey, the modernish guns, and you can look around in first person.

However its also a mil sim, which just throws all the cod out the window.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Am I the only one picturing buckets of fish being thrown out of second story windows on to people playing CoD?

You should have strung him along, insisting that it was. The mounting frustration at the lack of 720ladderbang1337noscope420headshots would have been glorious.

Has nothing at all to do with the currency, it's just price gouging. It's published by Sega which are part of the big three when it comes to the "australian tax" (sega, activision and EA). 2K and Bethesda also get a dishonourable mention.

Unfortunately when the ACCC investigated the markup on video games they only investigated physical sales and neglected digital sales which are where the true insane price gouging is going on. Products with no manufacturing cost, no shipping cost, with near direct profit that doesn't need to pay tax, probably shouldn't cost the same as (stupidly marked up) retail products. There are no oceans on the internet.
