Oh I'm aware of the poetic license that Toady should be allowed.  That's fine with me.  It's just having a metal that is less dense than water drove me nuts.

First of all, it's adamantine.

Second of all, lithium floats in water. So do sodium and potassium. But those are alkali metals, so they'll also explode in water. However, they do look very much like metal.

Lithium, for example, is almost half the density of water. It's practically lighter than paper.

Just so y'all know, I already made a heavy adamantine mod. Makes it some 5 times denser than platinum if mixed with some iron.

You'd want potassium for that.  One potassium helm, if drenched with water, would give concussions at the very least to an average-sized raiding party.  The head of the dwarf wearing it would experience something akin to the effect of a crushing drawbridge.

I went with 100 there for the wafers to line up with what the "make adamantine wafers" reaction produces.

The 100 for adamantine is incorrect - it should be 150, since metal bars have a dimension of 150. The 100 you saw in the PRODUCT is the probability of making that product.

That'll still work, but it'll use 150 bars reguardless of what you tell it, I think.  Maybe 300 if theres a 1/2 stack lying around somewheres.
