On my research, and elf caravan didn't came by the 5x5 tiles large path to the depot, which is connected to my sea bridge, getting a one tile stair to my depot, but after I walled every other entrance excluding the sea bridge, they get out by the sea bridge. I'm waiting until autumn to see if a dwarf caravan will came by the sea bridge if everything else is walled.

Yes, fling them into your fort. Have a bunch of goblin archers with broken feet sitting in your courtyard. Fine work there.

Now I have a hugeass chalk bridge for no reason leading to nowhere.

Ah, simply not true, amigo!  Now you have a hugeass chalk bridge leading to nowhere --b ut not for no reason!  You must use this chalk bridge to create an amazing shrine.  Perhaps one to the political gag of recent years, of huge expense for a bridge to nowhere; or perhaps one to school teachers, by painting it green with...  Does anything have green blood?  Or if you have green stone.  Or Just an infinite celebration of the undeniable love between Chalk and the Ocean!  Collapse some parts of the bridge and produce a replica of The Needles!  Uh...  Weaponize it somehow.  Maybe with, like, I dunno, magma.  In some way.  *shrug*

Green glass!

It's treated as completely normal because this is Dwarf Fortress.  There's absolutely nothing wrong with surrounding yourself with a wall of flames, only to later realize that you're surrounded by a wall of flames.
There's nothing that can't be solved by hurling fifteen roc birds at it.

I really don't mind. And they will probably flew on the ground or ocean, since my actually have a roof. Since the fort is self sufficient, I can be locked. Also, a goblin siege by the sea would contribute to the research.
And in the end, I will punch a hole in the ocean who will lead straight to the magma sea, anyway.

End result: The dwarven caravan came by the map edge, not the ocean, confirming OP tests. Even if the only way is by the ocean, it look like they aren't come by this way, only exiting.

Next step: Drain the ocean.

Or maybe there's a god who's just completely insane and sends you to Detroit, Michigan in a new body if you ever utter the name "Pat Sajak".

That in itself is pretty hilarious.  Wonder what they think when they get to the end of the bridge and find out that they have to swim home?

You could have berries on the rocks and the dwarves would say it was "berry gneiss."
You should die horribly for this. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Sorry, you must have mistaken that last post.  He's talking about the dwarf caravan, not the elf.

My bad.

nah, they will probably call they ever loving friends, picks, and punch a hole through to ocean so it got sucked by the omnipresent aquifers.

Also, obviously, magma avalanches and tsunamis weren't exactly a contingency covered in the mission briefing.
I can assure you that Ardentdikes is not the first fortress to be flooded with magma. What's unusual is that we actually meant to flood it with magma.
