gave my dorf adventurers a "breath attack"
it spawned a ball of liquid/gas wich you had to throw and then it looked like a breath attack  :-\
not that weird, but im a starting modder

yep, that one's a classic. It's one of the mainstays of the wizard tower mods.

Next version, it's obsolete, as you can do material emission interactions as adventurers.

Dwarf fortress ethics.
Of course there's an ethical way to train doctors! Toss children off short cliffs. Since they're not useful adults, injuring them isn't a waste of valuable labor, and since they're not nobles, it's ethical to use short cliffs instead of tall ones!

I made a slade lobster-thingy, but didn't really perfect the biome info so it doesn't appear:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Also tried making a custom race from scratch. Did well except after I embarked I realized I forgot to give them skin

Oh pssh. you made that sound like the rest of us remembered to give our first race modding attempts skin. Who needs skin? IT'S A LIABILITY I SAY!

Well I did stuff in 40d but took a lot of time off, just getting back into DF lately.

Giant Magma Spiders: basically Giant Cave Spiders with tokens borrowed from magma men to allow them to spawn and survive in Lava, fire proof webbing (which might have set some things on fire...). Nothing says fun like an ambush predator coming out of the magma forge and webbing the weaponsmith.

Hell Hounds: basically wolves that had fire breathing and trainable (nothing like chaining one up outside and having it deal with a siege by setting the grass on fire...).

Asbestos clothing (fire proof and as it was 40d lacking the syndrome tags that would make it really fun).

Frogs that pee when fleeing, copying the squid interaction.

Except if they're like the frogs they'll pee on me, and the frogmen too and for some reason they're peeing magma. Found it should be builtin
this goes in the frog
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
and this I keep in interaction_magic_blue so maybe the blue mage can learn this some day.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
...so I modified the green tree frog can't find any arena_restricted tags on it but it still doesn't show up, but the green tree frog man and the giant green tree frog, are both able to use the interaction since they borrow the tags from it. I take a closer look and find out they're leeking magma instead of filth_y, I try to fix it and now they don't leek anything.  I'm giving up on the harcoded material, using this instead.

Victory! though it looks a little green to me.

im tempted to put in railguns, cainsaws and enormous hammers as trap weapons, with scythes as weapons for my executioner.
then give gems properties, and have an executioner clad in black diamond weilding a scythe.

also, im tempted to put ramiel from nge in as a megabeast. maybe afterwards put in others, starting with rami as hes simplest

I gave cows a fleeing interaction; they shoot milk at people using their udders, which I also modded in. Bulls don't get to do anything sadly.

That's given me an idea I'd rather not have had.
