I gather leaves and driftwood/large branches to make a rudimentary lean-to by the fire!

What's a lean-to? You couldn't find any large branches or driftwood. Maybe you could use wood from your boat?

K then. Your boat has just about enough wood for this. Want to use the loose wood from the boat?

You disassemble your boat and make a lean-to out of its parts. You can't store supplies in the boat anymore now so you transported them in to the lean-to. But you are now extremely thirsty. You should get something to drink ASAP!
I also put a picture of the fire and lean-to in the 1st post. Under the map spoiler.
About 3 people can fit in there. Who are going to sleep in that little shelter? I'll grant "Derek" the 1st spot. 2 left! Another night or two outside and you could get a cold...

Try to find some stone and then crunch 2 pieces together so there might be a piece coming out which can be used to sharpen our "Blunt axes aka hammers"

There is only one blunt axe left.
I understand your goal is to sharpen your hammer. I'll do it a little simpler than how you told me.
You take another rock and sharpen your hammer into an axe.

You manage to chop down 2 trees and then drop on the ground from thirst. I suggest you drink now before you start losing HP.
