Right. Getting an item stolen is a Twilight action (happens just before the lynch), so is questing. You can use the new item you just got during the night.

Unless I'm missing something obvious.

   Sorry, I thought you where disputing something in his claim as not possible when all you where doing is pointing out he would have used his scroll. I do have a good reason for him to not have used the scroll. He was a night killing with his nice 33% bypass.

Wow, I'm good at implicating myself. Start with a wand, end up with a scroll, then get the name wrong when talking about it. It's a scroll, I'm doing homework at the same time as this.
